Чи знали ви, що перший в світі закон про Свободу друку було прийнято у Швеції ще в далекому 1766 році?
З тих пір ссвобода слова в країні зведена в абсолют.

Кожен журналіст і громадянин не тільки має право публікувати все, що він вважає за потрібне, а й може отримати будь-який офіційний документ держоргану протягом 24 годин - аж до даних про те, скільки коштувала випивка на офіційному прийомі.

У Швеції не існує такого поняття, як «No comments». У разі подібної відповіді будь-який представник влади може миттєво позбутися посади. А в разі будь-якої спроби вплинути на ЗМІ і "замовити" матеріал, зловмисника відразу проженуть.

Журналіст сам вирішує, як подати матеріал, керуючись тільки власною совістю, і може без будь-яких наслідків відмовитися від його написання. Захищає журналістів профспілка, і звільнити їх без вагомої на те причини просто неможливо.
