На початку квітня 2022 року я опинився у щойно звільненому від окупаційних рашистських військ Ворзелі. Другого квітня було оголошено про повне очищення від орків Київської області, а вже сьомого числа я був у вказаному населеному пункті.

At the beginning of April 2022, I found myself in Worzel, which had just been liberated from the occupying Nazi forces. On the second of April, it was announced that the Kiev region had been completely cleared of orcs, and already on the seventh I was in the specified settlement.

Дістатися було не дуже просто, оскільки в Бучу та Ірпінь всіх ще не пускали, були обмеження, але завдяки волонтерській діяльності мені вдалося проїхати. На узбіччях доріг, а подекуди й посеред них стояли розстріляні легкові автомобілі з надписом «Діти». Саме ці надписи і те що в авто немає живого місця від куль наводило жах, а після й лють на окупантів.

It was not very easy to get there, as not everyone was allowed in Bucha and Irpin, there were restrictions, but thanks to volunteering I managed to get through. On the sides of the roads, and in some places in the middle of them, there were shot cars with the inscription "Children". It was these inscriptions and the fact that there was no living space in the car from the bullets that inspired horror, and then anger at the occupiers.

Також на дорозі стояла розбита ворожа техніка, спалені вантажівки – їх ще довго не убирали з дороги, здається до самого літа чи навіть довше.

Also on the road were broken enemy equipment, burned trucks - they were not removed from the road for a long time, it seems until the very summer or even longer.

Мені здалося, що Ворзель розбитий менш ніж Буча чи Гостомель, але насправді цьому курортному селищу дісталося від загарбників сповна. Сам Ворзель, як і все наше минуле мирне життя, був спотворений та розтрощений. Частина будинків була спалена і знищена, частина пошкоджена, якийсь більше, якийсь менше.

It seemed to me that Vorzel was less destroyed than Bucha or Gostomel, but in fact this resort village got a lot from the invaders. Vorzel himself, like all our past peaceful life, was distorted and crushed. Some of the houses were burned and destroyed, some were damaged, some more, some less.

Вже тепер Ворзель майже повністю відбудований та відновлений. Якщо їхати по тій самій дорозі, то майже непомітні ті рубці лютого-березня 2022 року. Але ж не забудемо ми нічого та не пробачим – ні Ворзеля, ні Бучі, ні Харкова, ні Бахмута, ні Херсону, ні Авдіївки – нічого.

Already now, Vorzel has been almost completely rebuilt and restored. If you drive along the same road, the scars of February-March 2022 are almost invisible. But we will not forget anything and we will not forgive - not Vorzel, not Buchi, not Kharkiv, not Bakhmut, not Kherson, not Avdiivka - nothing.
