Vlad The Desolator

The Russian invasion of Ukraine makes no sense to me. I looked at it from a logical perspective not really knowing much about either side of things what Vladimir Putin is demanding of Ukraine and I will admit it has left me a bit baffled. It's as if the world was given a book of this war, but it was missing several chapters that are crucial in order to comprehend the plot of the story.

I have wanted to show my support for Ukraine but I wasn't really sure how. I'm not a rich man so, can't afford to donate towards the struggle right now, but I felt the need to express my discontent with the current state of affairs. You'll have to forgive me, I am from the United States, have lived here my whole life, and I've never served in the armed forces. In other words, I've never experienced war first hand. So, I have no real life experience to draw from that would be considered a parallel circumstance that could help me understand the angst you and your countrymen must be going through, along with the atrocities you have all likely been exposed to. I am so sorry for your struggle. I will pray for you.

What I can do, is express my own outrage to this situation with some artwork. This is named, "Vlad the Desolator". I don't know if it is what anyone would consider a "good" piece of art. I was merely trying to visualize and capture the sheer evil that must be coursing through the mind of Vladimir Putin, as he continues this seemingly insensible invasion, and attempts to overthrow your government. It is merely a depiction in my mind of a city at the whim of a madman, one who's driven by nothing more than his own ambitions. I'm sorry I cannot give more. May God be with you.
