To defend national dignity, Huo Yuanjia resolutely set up a martial arts challenge stage in Shanghai for a month, specifically declaring his intent to compete against these foreign strongmen. Frightened, those foreign strongmen scattered and hid, with no one daring to challenge him to a fight.
