Internal Wash-Meal

in Comedy Open Mic2 years ago (edited)

Hello! Hi everyone! Trust your weekend was great. Wish you all a happy new week and a prosperous one...
Well, this is my first post here and this act I want to share actually is a true comedy scene that happened back in my village. Actually it was originally not intended as comedy but it is actually funny, like funny.
I was sitting one cool harmattan evening with my uncle and cousins when his friend came by to have a chat. Well, it was around the time when the evening meal was being prepared so when could see the women running up and down to get the meal ready. When my uncle's friend came over, they were discussing sundry matters ranging from their farms to other minor issues when my aunt, his wife shouted over to one of my niece to bring the maggi cubes to her. Immediately my uncle's friend smiled and told my uncle that the world is actually getting civilized at a fast rate. My uncle said why the sudden switch in topic and he said he saw a new product that afternoon that impressed him. Now we were all hungry for a good chat so we pricked up our ears to listen to this new tale that is en route to our initially bored, thick ears.
He said he went to town that day and was very hungry so he decided to go into and fill his tank, well I was surprised he referred to his stomach as a tank because it looks more like a palmwine gourd than a tank!
Well, when he went in, he ordered for cassava fufu and melon soup. He got served and my uncle's friend settled to during justice to the delicious meal. He told us that after tasting the soup, he found out it was very low on salt and it was kind of tasteless so he saw a little container that smells nice on the table so he added a little of it to the soup and stirred it but the taste remained the same only that the soup gave off a little foam. Can you imagine any spices that will make a soup foam?
We got a little curious and asked him to describe this 'Water maggi' as he called it and after his detailed description, we found out our uncle's friend had actually out of ignorance taken a liquid soap popularly known as 'morning fresh' (meant for washing of hands after meals) and had added it to his soup thinking it was an ingredient meant to seasoned up the tasteless soup!

We could not hold our laughter and funny enough, he did not look embarrassed.
We then told him to be weary of any 'watery maggi' in the future.
But I believe his internal organs should be very clean now.
