A little tour of what's going on behind the scenes with my streaming setup that you don't normally see in shot.
This video doesn't talk about the modular at all which of course is super complex in it's own right. Instead I recorded this before my most recent show to talk a bit about how the audio gets mixed and split in various ways once it leaves the modular.
And then... how the whole thing comes together and then gets split up again to end up live on 3 different streaming services (with video) and the audio on Brixton Radio itself. A bit technical but also a bit of an insight into the preparation I do with this setup, and into my goal to start to be able to work with parts of recordings from my live shows in order to create releasable tracks.

Very cool seeing behind the scenes. I knew the mod wall would be confusing but that looks like a bunch of spaghetti to me. lol, Amazing! Jealous that I could not do that.
I went the other way towards simplicity with recording my daughters singing videos. A cell phone attached to a dedicated Shure mic, and a Ring light. All through the MOTIV app.
Comes out great too.
Hey - thanks loads for commenting! Yes the modular wall is basically spaghetti. Sometimes if you watch my play live you will see me look a bit confused or tracing the path of a long cable because I can't remember what's currently patched to something else!
That's cool about simplicity - that's a great approach too!

Great stuff, very interesting setup. Love that loop you've set up playing in the background too.
Watching this back it's only half the story as there is a whole load of mixing going on in the modular. Also I think it needs a diagram to actually understand! Maybe a future post!
Working on a track now using elements from that groove in the background - probably coming your way for mastering real soon!
