MY DREAM JOB||DAY 4 OF 30 DAYS BLOGGING CHALLENGE

I will be writing this with NF's when I grow up playing in the background.

When I grow up, I want to be a nurse who works in her room.

That doesn't make sense to you, right?
You are probably asking if nurses are not supposed to work in a hospital, or visiting people's homes to treat them.

Yes, I know.

But I believe that treating people doesn't necessarily happen at the hospital.

In a country like mine, a lot of people die from illnesses that can be prevented by avoiding a few habits or food.

A typical Nigerian finds it hard to visit the hospital for various reasons

  1. Money issues:- when most of them feel symptoms, they will rather remain in their houses, self-medicating than visit the hospital because they can't afford a proper health care service. Even government hospitals Are not free.
  2. Ignorance:- Little symptoms that are signs of bigger health problems are quickly waved off by people. They see no reasons why they should get treated
    And so on.

How my dream kind of nursing will help take care of some of these issues:-

  1. Free medical advice to people over the mobile phone
  2. Encouraging average Nigerians to go for a checkup over their little system(it's funny how encouragement can help people do the required about their health)
  3. Crowdfunding to get donors to enable lower class citizens to get free health care services.
  4. Manage a blog where people can get health advice and recommendations.

I know you might be thinking too that this may need to be achieved but I have been working on it for a while and I know that with the right steps at the right time, everything will turn out greater than we can imagine.

Just like my quote yesterday,

I believe that the best is yet to come.

Why I choose to be a nurse out of all other choices:-
Growing up, I was opportune to visit the hospital a lot.
I have always watched the aura of nurses with a keen interest and then one faithful day, I watched a nurse saved a boy in my class with CPR.

Seriously, at that moment, Something came to my mind that I never could have wagged off as nothing. Just like a divine message, something told me that would me be in years to come, saving people's lives and give their families reason to smile.
