Blogging challenge part 01 day1: MY BLOG'S NAME.

Hello hivers,
With so much delight, I appreciate @starstrings01 for the opportunity given to me to be a member of this lovely blogging platform. Yesterday was my first day on this Hive platform, I sincerely appreciate everyone that took their time to go through my introductory post and cheered me up with their votes, compliments and encouraging comments, I honestly feel welcomed here. 😊
The storyline behind how my blog name was coined sounds funny, so I'll encourage you to take some water and relax while you enjoy my story.

My blog name is my nickname "opcy" so there is no actual dictionary meaning for it. When I was in secondary school, a colleague of mine started calling me by the nickname "opzy" of a sudden, as a short and refined form of my actual name which is "Opeyemi". Whenever we cross paths and he calls me by that nickname we both laugh about it and go our ways until my classmates and other colleagues at school then also joined the train of calling me by that same nickname, and boom!! the name went viral such that most of my juniors at school do not know my real name, I was cool with the nickname anyway 😉.

Mind you, I was called "opzy" and not "opcy" as at that time. Just as I've said earlier, the name became popular day by day that my parent and my family get to hear of it. So as at the point my mom heard of the nickname, she also joined the clique meanwhile she isn't getting the right pronunciation, she pronounces the "zee" part of the nickname as "cee", I and my younger brother tried correcting her sometimes but she won't just yield to our corrections so we just laugh it out and let things slide whenever she pronounces it as "opcy" instead of "opzy".

Later when I got more older I personally get to prefer my mom's way of pronouncing the nickname (opcy) so, that was how my blog name was coined.
