The day started earlier than usual. At exactly 5:30 AM, we set off from Bangil, Pasuruan, heading to Kapas Biru Waterfall in Lumajang. After some discussion, we decided to take the route through Malang. The distance was approximately 120 kilometers, and we estimated the journey would take a little over three hours.
Despite the long drive, the trip was enjoyable. The crisp morning air, quiet roads, and the occasional sight of lush plantations and forests accompanied us along the way. After a few hours on the road, we finally arrived at the Kapas Biru tourist area.
After parking the vehicle, we headed to the ticket booth. The entrance fee was quite affordable, only IDR 10,000 per person, plus a parking fee of IDR 5,000. Once the ticketing was done, it was time to start the real adventure: the hike to the waterfall.
The distance between the ticket booth and the waterfall wasn’t too far, only about a 20-minute walk. However, the path was quite challenging. The trail was steep with some sharp inclines and declines, requiring us to be extra careful. Despite the tough hike, the scenery along the way was breathtaking. Towering trees, the distant sound of the river, and the fresh mountain air made the journey feel lighter.
When we finally reached Kapas Biru Waterfall, all the fatigue seemed to vanish. The towering waterfall with its clear water offered a refreshing sight. The misty spray of water lived up to its name, "Kapas Biru" (Blue Cotton). The view was so serene and beautiful that it felt as if time stood still for a moment.
In addition to enjoying the beauty of the waterfall, we noticed many visitors camping around the area. It seemed that camping here was a popular choice for those who wanted a closer experience with nature. It was truly tempting, and perhaps next time, we might try camping here as well.
That day was a memorable one, with the exhausting journey rewarded by the unmatched beauty of nature. Kapas Biru Waterfall is definitely a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
Wonderful photos. Nature at its best. Thank you!
Camping over night? Well, this is not allowed in such locations where I live. Good t know when I happen to be in your part of the world :)
