Hello friends, I hope you are all healthy, well, and living your lives in peace and happiness. So friends, welcome back to my blog. As you can see, I'm making a post here after many days because about a week or two ago, we went on a trip.
It was me and my friends, and we went quite far from our city, about 130 kilometers away. It took us about four hours to get there, and we went by car because it was quite cold, so we thought it would be better to go by car. This is why it took us even longer. Actually, the distance from Almora to Munsiyari is 130 kilometers, but while traveling and having fun with friends, we didn't even realize how quickly the time passed. And we thought, why not continue this journey with our friends? Today's trip is going to be to Munsiyari Khada Top, which is a very beautiful trek. To reach there, we have to go from the main market of Munsiyari, and from there, we have to trek to Khada Top. So, let's begin our journey!

Friends, we left around 9:00 AM, and since there were four of us, we set off in our car. Enjoying the journey, we saw many beautiful sights along the way, and we witnessed the beautiful natural environment. We also saw many beautiful trees. As you can see in this photo, the view here is so beautiful, and we also saw small houses by the side of the road.

MmmTaking in the views along the way, we reached the base point of the summit where the trek to the top begins. After about 5 hours, we had covered the distance, and since we had arrived, we decided to start the trek to the flat top. This trek was going to be about 11 kilometers of walking, and we carried some of our supplies uphill. This time, unlike our previous visit – I don't remember the exact year, maybe 2021 or 2019 – when we had gone there before, we had carried our own food and tents for overnight stay from the base. However, now the government has prohibited camping and overnight stays at the zero point of the summit. You have to stay at the government guesthouse or accommodation facility located about three to four kilometers below the summit. You have to pay for your stay there, and all kinds of food and drinks are also available there, provided by the government. Last time we went there, we pitched our tent right there and enjoyed ourselves a lot, because there's a unique pleasure in camping at the top. But many people misuse this privilege and cause considerable damage to the meadows at the top. Because of this, the government decided to prohibit camping at the top and instead provide accommodation facilities below, so that people can go there, enjoy the views, and then return.

The beautiful scenery and lush green environment were quite breathtaking, a stark contrast to the pollution found in many cities. In major cities like Delhi and Gurgaon, the AQI levels are alarmingly high, reaching 500 in some areas. However, the mountains remain untouched by this pollution, offering a beautiful and pristine natural landscape. We were completing our journey amidst this stunning scenery, heading towards our base camp where our accommodation had been arranged. As I mentioned earlier, the accommodation was supposed to be provided by the government. By the time we reached there, it was already dark, as the days are shorter now and darkness falls quickly, around 6 PM. Since we hadn't walked much recently, the 10-11 kilometer trek felt quite challenging. Finally, as evening approached, we reached our base camp, where we would be spending the night. Tomorrow morning, we will begin our climb to Khalia Top, from where we expect to see even more spectacular views. This is where we will be resting tonight. The night view is quite something; you can see how beautiful the sky and the twinkling stars look.

Friends, after resting for the night, we started our journey in the morning. We had to cover a distance of 4 kilometers to reach the top, and the views from there are absolutely breathtaking. The Himalayan peaks visible from here are incredibly beautiful. You get a magnificent 360-degree view of prominent peaks like Panchachuli, Raj Rambha, Hardewal, and Nanda Kot. A truly spectacular sight awaits you. You can see how beautiful the environment is and the unique natural beauty you get to witness. Friends, if you've come to such a wonderful place and don't witness the sunrise, then your trek is in vain. So, we reached our location before sunrise and watched the sunrise from the very top. You can see how magnificent the sun looks as it rises from behind the blanket of snow.

Friends let me give you some information about Khaliya Top, which I learned from Google and other sources, and then I tried to explain it to you.
Khaliya Top's trekking route is located in Munsiyari, a small town in the Pithoragarh district. The Khaliya Top trek is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters or 11500 feet. The beauty of this place is that if you reach here, you will witness a stunning view. First, you'll see the Panchachuli mountain range, and then the beautiful and captivating views of the Raj Rambha and Nanda Kot peaks.

Friends, many people try to take shortcuts while trekking, deviating from the designated path, thinking that they can reach the top faster. However, they don't realize that this trek is not just a trail, but also a beautiful landscape nestled in the lap of nature. By taking shortcuts, people cause significant damage to the meadows. While individuals may reach their destination, the meadows gradually get destroyed. Therefore, whenever you go on any trek, please use the designated path. If everyone uses the same path, it won't cause much damage, but if people keep creating new paths by taking shortcuts, the meadows will gradually be destroyed. So, friends, I hope you enjoyed this trek and the beautiful scenery. If you liked the view and the post, please let me know in the comments.
Thank you.
