Good beautiful PINMAPPLE community.

It is already a new year and I start by making a visit to this majestic construction Called the National Capitol of Cuba, I had the possibility of being on two occations on the same day, being able to take views of it: day and night, and even entering the narrow streets of Old Havana it stood out with its beautiful dome and its beautiful architecture from afar.

Let’s start!!

This impressive building is built with grandeur in the heart of Havana. As you walk along Prado Street you are amazed by contemplating this architectural jewel built in 1929 under the direction of the architect Eugenio Raynieri Piedra.

Its dome with its splendor and elegance is one of the most outstanding characteristics of this building, it is covered with 22-carat gold sheets with a height of 92 meters, representing a Renaissance architecture, this beautiful dome stands out from different points of Havana with a touch of splendor and distinction.

This large construction covers about 43,418 m², with 58 varieties of marble used in pavements and sculptural panels. The metal structure created by the American company Pudrí & Henderson, is a faithful testimony of the dedication to this architectural wonder.

In addition to this great construction, this building also marks the zero kilometer of the Cuban roads, being a unique reference point in the geography of the country.

The point that marks it inside is a 25-carat diamond under the dome, embedded in the ground, which had an intriguing episode. Despite its mysterious robbery in 1946 and the subsequent replacement by a replica in 1973, the Capitol remains the beacon of Cuban history.

Walking through the narrow streets of Old Havana, I find a great spectacle that impresses me a lot, this great building standing out with splendor from the old buildings that surrounded me. The colonial facades and the vibrant colors of the traditional buildings serve as a perfect backdrop, enhancing the grandeur of this Capitol.

The golden dome breaks the horizon line, capturing my attention from all the corners through which I take. The contrast between the ancient architecture and the imposing neoclassical presence of the Capitol creates a scene that leaves me very excited to capture with my phone.

Even more amazed I was to see this great work of art lit in the dark night, it is all a refreshing image for the eye as up to its highest point it is filled with lights thus showing its many columns its engraved ceilings and walls, I was very impressed how imposing it looks, so I could not stop capturing and taking a photo with me in the center for the memory.
