🥇 My California - Lamarck, Alpine, Piute Loop by @derekrichardson

Late September and early October is my favorite time in the high Sierra. Not only can you get to see the amazing fall colors, but also most the bugs are gone and the thunder storms are much rarer. The nights are getting longer and colder, but a headlight and a good sleeping bag solves that so I find the trade highly worth it. For awhile now I'd been wanting to check out the Lamarck lakes and climb Mt. Lamarck, but when I planned this trip I got a bit more ambitious and decided to turn it into a gnarly 5 day loop. The trip began and ended at the North Lake trailhead in the North Fork Bishop creek drainage up above the town of Bishop, CA. I drove up to the trailhead the night before and just slept in my truck at the trailhead. The next morning I got my stuff all packed and ready to go and then drove up the road into the North Lake campground where the trail actually starts and dropped off my pack there.

🥈 The Sage Trail, a breathtaking path overlooking the sea of the Gulf of Trieste by @miljo76

The Sage Trail (or Trail Weiss) is a simple and very picturesque path that runs along the edge of the Karst and offers a magnificent view of the Gulf of Trieste. This panoramic trip is suitable for everyone, from those who love the blue of the sea to those who prefer the green of nature. A walk along this path will involve all your senses.

🥉 TacoCat’s Travels #265 (Tokyo): Temples, Buddhas and Tranquility ⛩ by @taco.cat

Last week, we started our first full day in Tokyo by traveling out of Tokyo to Kamakura to visit the Great Buddha statue! We had some delicious local snacks on the way before exploring the minimalist temple full of history. It wasn't a very big temple though so there actually wasn't much else to see other than the Great Buddha statue, but there was another temple nearby, so we decided to check it out too!
