🥇 Zborov castle by @plantfuljourney

In the recent years, many castle ruins in Slovakia are undergoing large reconstructions. This is usually an initiative from the local organisations supported by the funds from the EU. They use traditional methods including bringing all the material up the hill by foot and using medieval tools. It's not an easy job, and it will take years to finish such projects. Furthermore, all the builders are volunteers, so it depends fully on their dedication and passion. Last week, we visited one of such castles called Zborov.

🥈 My California - East Fork Thru Hike by @derekrichardson

At the trailhead we took a few pictures, said goodbye and thank you to Sophia for the ride, and then headed down the trail into Vincent Gulch. It was a beautiful morning hiking down into the canyon through mixed conifer and oak forest, but the bugs were out which was a little annoying, but not surprising for that time of year and it wasn't effecting our excitement at all. About a half mile down we stopped for our first little side adventure where we left the trail and headed over to check out the old Tom Vincent cabin.

🥉 Relaxing Sunset View at Ocean 9 Villas and Cabanas, Siargao Island by @ybanezkim26

I spent my birthday on Siargao Island and I can say it's one spending that I'll never regret. It's funny and ironic that I posted something about Siargao on Facebook and here I am, trying to narrate what happened to that super spontaneous birthday trip. For context, I disagreed with that one article that Siargao is one of the cheapest destinations in Southeast Asia when it comes to accommodation. I was in Siargao last December (which I haven't blogged yet) and I can say it's one of the most expensive tourist destinations in the Philippines.
