RE: Exploring the iconic facades in Gautápe, Colombia

in Worldmappin16 days ago

Wow Gautape, it is my first time hearing this place. This blog didn't disappoint me, as you have said in the very first part "picturesque town", which it really is upon looking on the photos. This town is so colorful and alive, almost not carrying some negative aura or melancholic feeling unless the weather is bad. The weather when you got there I assume is not that vibrant but still you featured it in a way that is still colorful and creative. I wonder how bright the town is if the weather is clear and lively. It must be so wonderful to see these arts outside their homes with the sun peeping between roofs.

I wonder if these paintings are for display or for some other reasons. There are many arts around this place, and as someone who loves art and paintings, I would be very happy to visit here when time comes. Anyways, I hope your visit was great. Thank you for sharing this journey to us, and giving us some peek of Guatape.

When I was here, the weather wasn't the best. It startet to rain at the end of my walk. But then it was already getting dark. The photos were taken in the afternoon. The art you see on the photo were for sale. I think this small town does see a lot of tourists. There is quite an amount of shops selling souvenirs. But, it is worth visiting. You will be so amazed by the decorated houses.
