Wow @astinmin, you nailed the narration. I really got the chills upon reading your blog. Icelandic stories are full of black mystery and enchantment, right? Reading the stories of that witch things and the elf belief gives me same feeling of Philippine folklore. The difference about the pointing of fingers is yours not pointing out to the elf while we are told not to point to abandoned house and old trees. But we share the same consequence: losing our fingers. It is nice to have a peek of Icelandic stories, especially the period of witchcraft, as I love reading about witches, like one of that witches who fought Nazi during WWII. I started loving witches after I watched the Autopsy of Jane Doe which has something to do with witch rituals in the movie. This is a nice read haha I enjoyed it. You got me..thank you for sharing this. Hoping to read more eerie narratives from you soon ❤️
