We are heading toward south from Taichung to roughly below 100km a day. I realized with the blazing sun and hot winds 100km (62 Miles) with a car might not sound much, however with a 125cc scooter its a whole different ball game.
This ride was all about discovering temples. We heard this temple named Beigang Chaotian Temple is a famous one in that area. I would like to share our continued journey.
The main entrance of the temple.
There were many many people going in and out. The temple looked like it has some deep history. I can see it just through the details.
I am not 100% but the idea is to buy some incents or gifts and give prayers/respects...ect to the Buddha. It seemes this was where everyone placed thier incents after prayer and left back home.
An example of how people used the incents and give respects.
Many others like taking pictures like we did. :)
Amazing details~ I can look at this all day.
There were many other sections of the temple. Above is another area.
Things like this when I see.... Human lifestyle hasn't really changed much. We have more technology but the way we live seems no different than a thousand years ago.
There is definitely a vibe I can feel here and every corner of every space has been cared of.
Ultra detailed craftmanship. I am not sure what they are...
Again, lots of details in these dolls.... there are so many many of them.
When we first saw this we both had no idea what these lights were but it was absolutely beautiful. We took a closer look.
I noticed there were name tags and a date writen on each light when I got closer...
I am totally guessing but I believe this maybe the people who passed away and left a memory to the temple.
We wanted to see more but we had to leave because it was getting seriously dark to ride. The sun was setting fast. We had to find a place to stay quick.
Hooray!!!~ My friend found a place through his app and we were able to settle for the night.
Rooms were just perfect enough for the night~ very old Taiwan style. I love it!!!
The locals were just about to have their family dinner and asked us if we wanted to join. We already ate before so we told them to enjoy dinner without us. So kind of them. :)
Time to relax and get ready for bed.
Sleepy time. :)
Front and back of the hostel~ they were so kind to us. I recommend to anyone who is near the area looking for a quick rest. ;)
Stay tuned for more~~
