A tourist in Seoul.
On this day of variable weather, I wander into this large and welcoming park.
As described earlier in the blog, the gate (World Peace Gate) with two large wings introduces us to the park.
These wings are decorated with 4 guardian spirits, representing strength and freedom of the Korean people.
On the ground protected by the massive gate is the perpetual flame with the declaration of peace.

Un turista a Seoul.
In questa giornata di meteo variabile, mi addentro in questo grande e variegato parco.
Come già descritto in precedenza nel blog, la grande porta con due grandi ali (World Peace Gate) ci introduce al parco.
Queste ali sono decorate con 4 spiriti guardiani, rappresentando forza e libertà del popolo Koreano.
A terra, protetta dall'imponente gate, troviamo la fiamma perpetua con la dichiarazione di pace.

On either side of the entrance plaza (Peace Square) we find two entrances characterized by islands for sitting and 30 totems decorated with masks/faces. These are works of art like many other sculptures in the park.
Beyond the gate, we are greeted by a large square (Flag Square), with refreshment places and characterized by the flags of the countries hosted by the Olympics.

Ai lati del piazzale di ingresso (Peace Square) troviamo due accessi caratterizzati da isole per sedersi e da 30 totem decorate con maschere/facce. Si tratta di opere d'artista come tantissime altre sculture presenti nel parco.
Oltre il gate, siamo accolti da un'ampia piazza (Flag Square), con luoghi di ristoro e caratterizzata dalle bandiere dei paesi ospitati dalle Olimpiadi.

As already mentioned in the blog the care for the park is remarkable. There is no waste paper or can or bottles, you can not see any sign of neglect and certainly this is one of the great qualities of a careful administration of the park but also of the citizens.
Mostly Koreans, young and old. I noticed very few tourists although the autumn period is one of the best times to visit this country.
The park has over 200 sculptures by artists from around the world. The Olympic Road itself, a very long road that introduces the park shows us sculptures themed for the games and in general you can notice sculptures at the entrance of many buildings, in subway stations and decorating shopping malls.
The focus on art available to everyone is very big in Korea.
The park houses the SOMA Art Museum.
I have not seen any sculpture or artistic piece in a public place, damaged, defaced, offended by uncivilized people.
In Italy it is utopia.

Come già detto nel blog la pulizia e cura per il parco sono notevoli. Non c'è alcuna cartaccia o lattina o bottiglietta, non si vede alcun segno di incuria e certamente questo è uno dei grandi pregi di una amministrazione attenta del parco ma anche dei cittadini.
Prevalentemente Koreani, giovani e anziani. Ho notato pochissimi turisti sebbene il periodo autunnale sia tra i migliori per visitare questo Paese.
Il parco ospita oltre 200 sculture di artisti da tutto il mondo. La stessa Olympic Road, lunghissima strada che introduce al parco ci mostra sculture a tema per i giochi e in generale si notano sculture all'ingresso di molti palazzi, nelle stazioni della metropolitana e a decorare centri commerciali.
L'attenzione per l'arte a disposizione di tutti è molto grande in Korea.
Il parco ospita il museo d'arte SOMA.
Non ho visto alcuna scultura o pezzo artistico in luogo pubblico, danneggiato, imbrattato, offeso da incivili.
In italia è utopia.

The park is home to various types of plants and trees, with large areas dedicated to walking and jogging and wilder paths. The variables for sporting activity within the park are many, not only are there paths for walking and running, but also for cycling and available to all there are exercise equipment for motor activity, especially used by the elderly.
You can see many elderly and retired people, walking along the paths of varying difficulty, between the hilly and flat areas that this park offers.
The flat main road that connects each hilly alternative, provides the best method to alternate the intensity of the workout.
There are benches and places to relax along the paths and in the various areas dedicated to picnics and large outdoor events.
There is also classical music in the background to cheer the walk in some areas.
Being built for the 1988 Olympics, the park includes various facilities dedicated to sports such as the velodrome, arena, tennis courts, swimming pool, schools and the only National Sports University.
These structures are naturally placed in the more peripheral areas, in contact with the roads surrounding the park.

Il parco accoglie piante e alberi di vario tipo, con ampie zone dedicate alle passeggiate e jogging e percorsi più selvaggi. Le variabili per l'attività sportiva all'interno del parco sono molteplici, non solo ci sono i percorsi per camminare e correre, ma anche per andare in bicicletta e a disposizione di tutti ci sono attrezzi ginnici per l'attività motoria, specialmente usati dagli anziani.
Si vedono molti anziani e pensionati, camminare lungo i percorsi a difficoltà variabile, tra le zone collinari e pianeggianti che offre questo parco.
La strada principale pianeggiante che raccorda ogni alternativa collinare, garantisce il miglior metodo per alternare l'intensità dell'allenamento.
Si trovano panchine e luoghi di relax lungo i percorsi e nelle svariate aree dedicate al picnic e ai grandi eventi all'aperto.
Non manca la musica classica di sottofondo ad allietare la passeggiata in alcune zone.
Essendo costruito per le olimpiadi del 1988, nella totalità del parco sono inserite varie strutture dedicate allo sport come il velodromo, l'arena, i campi da tennis, la piscina, scuole e l'unica Università Nazionale dello Sport.
Queste strutture sono naturalmente disposte nelle aree più periferiche, a contatto con le strade che circondano il parco.

Remaining in the naturalistic field, I linger like many to admire this particular cultivated area Gaura lindheimeri.

Restando in ambito naturalistico, mi soffermo come molti ad ammirare questa particolare zona coltivata Gaura lindheimeri.

When the colors are vibrant it's of course a show that attracts many visitors and especially couples and friends to take a photo, for a result of great visual effect.

Quando i colori sono vivaci è naturalmente uno spettacolo che attrare tantissimi visitatori e in special modo le coppiette e gli amici per scattare una foto, per un risultato di grande effetto visivo.
