I consider that as a good traveler, visiting the museums of every new city you visit is something that has to be among the first things to do. Of course new york also means visiting one of the richest museums in the world such as the metropolitan museum, also known as the MET. With a collection that has more than two million pieces on its list.

Considero que como buen viajero, visitar los museos de cada ciudad nueva que conoces es algo que tiene que estar entre las primeras cosas por hacer. Por supuesto que new york significa también visitar uno de los museos más ricos en el mundo como lo es el museo metropolitano, conocido también como el MET. Con una colección que cuenta con más de dos millones de piezas en su lista.

Its history began in 1866, when a group of enthusiastic Americans living in Paris decided to create this prestigious institution, which was officially opened to the public in 1870, with a Roman sarcophagus as its first acquisition.

Su historia comienza en el año 1866, cuando un grupo de estadounidenses entusiastas residenciados en la ciudad de París, decide crear esta prestigiosa institución que fue abierta oficialmente al público en el año 1870 siendo un sarcófago romano su primera adquisición.

Among its collections is a great cultural variety of Egyptian, Roman, Greek, medieval, modern and contemporary art, among so many things that lie in this majestic place. I want to share with you, who are here reading these words, part of my visit to the MET.

Entre sus colecciones se encuentra una gran variedad cultural de arte egipcio, romano, griego, arte medieval, moderno, contemporáneo, entre tantas cosas que yacen en este majestuoso lugar. Quiero compartir contigo que estás por aquí leyendo estas palabras, parte de lo que fue mi visita por el MET.

A week is the minimum you need to visit this museum completely to appreciate it as it is. However, sometimes you don't have that much time and in a city there are many things to see. I still took advantage of all the time I could and took a lot of pictures. It was difficult to make a summary among the many photos I could take. It is incredible how much humanity has evolved and yet there are sculptures that you do not believe how they could be achieved. That is why it is so enriching to visit museums.

Una semana es lo mínimo que necesitas para visitar este museo por completo para apreciarlo como es. Sin embargo a veces uno no cuenta con tanto tiempo y en una ciudad son muchas las cosas por conocer. Igual aproveché todo el tiempo que pude y aproveché para tomar muchas fotos. Fue difícil hacer un resumen entre tantas fotos que pude tomar. Es increíble todo lo que ha evolucionado la humanidad y sin embargo hay esculturas que no crees como pudieron ser logradas. Por esta razón es tan enriquecedor visitar los museos.

New York is on my long list of sights, and due to the distance and cost of travel this destination is on the long list. Maybe one day my dream will come true. Your post is very nice.
