Sun Plaza, Sa Pa - Vietnam Journal #3

The biggest reason I came to Sa Pa was this iconic building. Before I finally decided to come here, I saw videos from social media users with a travel niche showing the Sun Plaza building. I thought it was the most iconic building there and strategically located. That's right, Sun Plaza is the center of Sa Pa. But are you curious about what's inside? I'll take you on a quick tour.

As you can see, Sun Plaza is a magnificent building with architecture reminiscent of European architecture. As you know, Vietnam was once colonized by France, resulting in many classic European-style buildings with Indochinese influences, including Sun Plaza in Sa Pa.

So, Sun Plaza is a building that functions as a shopping center, culinary center, and also a train station connecting Sa Pa to the summit of Fansipan Mountain. So, Sun Plaza is indeed very important in Sa Pa. Okay, let me show you inside.

It's like the lobby of a grand hotel, isn't it? Yes, the main part of Sun Plaza is what you see when you first enter the building. This area is deliberately cleared of any decorations to make it look grand, large, comfortable, and elegant. It's only when you get to each side that you'll be as confused as I was. Which area should I visit first?

Sun Plaza's color combination—yellow and green—is striking, but it also creates a classic and photographic look. Like this main area, everything is dominated by yellow, giving it a golden sheen.

At the time, I simply wanted to survey the station that would take us to Fansipan, so we wouldn't get confused and lost. That's why we finally entered the main area, where the corridors on both sides are lined with cafes and souvenir shops. The layout of this area is unique, contrasting sharply with the front yard. This area has a monochrome dan minimalism concept, combining black and white, and sometimes brown as is the case with the furniture. Everything looks harmonious.

Sun Plaza may be a shopping and food and beverage center in Sa Pa, but it's surprisingly conducive, neat, and clean. Walking through its corridors doesn't feel like you're in a public place. Like me, when I walked through it, I felt like I was in a grand hotel. This is because every aspect of the building emphasizes a classic atmosphere.

Hasta La vista…

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
