Paseo De Santiago: Exploring The Beauty Of Iligan City

Iligan City has lots of places that you could visit and some of these places are not easy to find but most of them were easy to find because they are located at the center of the city.

Last July, I , together with my friend, went to one of the famous place in Iligan city. Well, I usually go to this place when I was still a college student and we hang out with my only friend at that time to unwind and to explore some new thing.

When I visit here again, it feels really great and the place looks the same as when I last visited here that is almost 5 years ago.

They have some renovations and they also upgraded some things to look more beautiful as it was before.

We visited here early in the morning because my friend's mom wants to visit to one of the best places here in Iligan city and we suggested this place for picture taking because this place is best for taking photos with lots of angles and locations from the word PHILIPPINES, ILIGAN CITY, or even a castle-like building.

I thought that there were some stores that opened in the morning inside the place but there weren't because this place has lots of people in the afternoon up until midnight.

There were lots of cottages that people can rent at night to celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries, or anything else. In that cottage, they have tables and a couple of chairs while viewing the ocean because this place is beside the ocean they they can hear the big waves at night.

There were other locations that is also good to take photos of just like in the PHILIPPINES word that there is a kalesa beside the word Philippines and a jeep before the word.

Also, there is a map of the Philippine at the center where people can walk there. I think this spot is good when you have drones since you can see the whole map of the Philippines when using drones.

There is another spot for the word "ILIGAN CITY" and this is at the corner of the place and you can take photos here that you are in Iligan City and when you walk a little more.

You can see the statue of Lapu-lapu and it's beside the spot of Iligan City.

You might not notice this statue of lapu-lapu because the spot is somewhat covered by a few trees around it but there were lots of benches that you can sit near it and it's also in front of the ocean where the waves will hit the wall below.

Lastly, there is a castle-like in another spot that is only a few walks away from the spot that where I came from, I can see the tall and big castle and we just went into the castle.

I saw are the things that what a castle would look like and the bricks that made the castle-like spot makes it more awesome that it looks real. It also have some tower-like on it that looks like a rook in a chess.

In the middle of the castle, there is a small fountain that the water will splash in the middle and then at night, you can see the different kinds of color of the water but we can't see it now since it's early in the morning but if we went here at night.

I think this will be a great view for the fountain because we can see the beauty on why they put a fountain in the middle of the castle.

Years before, there were only 1 or 2 stores that they sell inside the Paseo De Santiago but when I saw it today, I think there are a couple of stores that opened and I also saw some tarpaulins for their menu.

They also have a small stage that bands, singers, and other musicians can sing if there are some events that they will participate but it's not an everyday event maybe once in a week or twice.

Thoughts

If you have time or if you look for another place that you can visit while you are in Iligan City, I recommend on going here at night because you can get the best experience in this place from early in the afternoon to take photos and at night to experience about the great views and stores that you can try.

I think this is best place for people who wants to hangout or to unwind with themselves or with their friends because you will enjoy this place at night and there were lots of people that will come here, too.
