Hi there Hive family,
This time we decided to catch the sunset on a less famous mountain close to the Serbian border. We left on time and the weather conditions favoured us to see all the beauty of the sun setting.
So basically 3 hours and 30 minutes to the peak. The top is in front of the picture with the snow cap.
We were 4 people in total and the snow was already starting to melt.
There was little snow in the beginning. We passed close to the local river.
Then little by little, the snow started to bundle. There was still a lot of mud.
We passed thorough a giant mud water hole on our way to the cross section between Hut Ruy and Peak Ruy.
The weather was really warm. As we were approaching higher altitudes, the landscape started to change and the mud was schrinking.
I noticed some logging and also a lot of fallen trees which was not a beautful sight. I am sure that because this mountain is not a famous one, people cut trees and use the wood for selling and heating but do not plant new trees for future growth. That makes me sad.
Anyway, we reached the crossroads. That meant, we are half way our journey and now the real climbing begins.
That over there is the destination.
I zoomed in to check out the surroundings. The vast mountain in distance is Old Mountain. The longest mountain in Bulgaria. Around 557 km. of pure nature.
Here is a wider view of the big log Old Mountain. As you can see the vicinities are starting to get a little orange. The sunset has started.
I played a bit with the focus of my camera 😃
And just like that, we reached the top.
This is it! Peak Ruy at 1706 meters high. I am going to save the best sunset photos for last 😁
Тhese pictures are taken after the sunset.
The gang at the top. Happy and full of energy.
Time to go back. The moon will guide us until the woods. Then it will be flashlight time 😄
No more sun. Just dark orange sky.
We are entering the woods. Time to gear up.
Tightening the straps.
And we are down the mountain 😅
As promised. I am giving you a couple photos of the real sunset ❤️
As always, thank you for visiting my blog. I wish you all a great end of the week 😎
Stay happy, be peaceful!
Namaste

We often find fallen trees during our trips as well, but sometimes I try to encourage myself that this can be also caused by the avalanches produced in the spring, even though there are many bastards cutting them down..
Много яко местенце ;)
