In today's blog I'll share information regarding the garden of Prem Mandir which is all around the temple and very well maintained with vibrant flowers well manicure lawns and amazing pathways.
There are numerous fountains in the garden and during the light show at evening these fountains adds to the beauty of the temple and attract devotees from all around the world. This place is no less than heaven and full of love. I met people of different religions and caste here, all united by love for Lord Krishna and Radha Rani.
In this garden you will see various sculptures of Lord Krishna representing the different leelas which means the life of Lord Krishna. Just, imagine there was a time when God lived in earth like a normal boy! Lucky and those who were around Lord Krishna at that time. In the garden you will see numerous life size sculptures of the Lord Krishna and Radha Rani around the garden which are very well decorated with flowers and beautiful dresses and lots of jewellery.Radha Rani is symbol of pure unconditional love, purity and devotion.
In the picture above a you can see a multi headed snake venomous snake is called Kalia Nag. He used to live at Yamuna river near Vrindavan and all the water of the river poisonous and the surrounding around the river turned into toxic fumes.
Garden is full of leela's of Krishna and let me tell you more about Kaliya Mardan Leela which symbolise the victory of love and restoration of harmony in nature. Let me tell you the story behind this. Kaliya Nag, a serpent used to live in Yamuna river at Vrindavan a making water all poisonous and unhealthy for use. People used to fear him and avoid going to Yamuna river. Monday Krishna and his friends were playing around the river when the ball fail into the water. So to retrieve the ball Krishna went near the river and his friend tried to stop him because they were aware about the Kaliya Nag. As Krishna reached near the river Kalia Nag challenge Krishna for a fight. Of yours battle started between Krishna and Kalia which ended with Kalia's With dancing and playing flute Krishna Rose up from the river standing on the head of Kalia Nag. This made people happy and they dance with joy and love.
The sculpture in the Prem garden Vrindavan shows the divine power of Lord Krishna and his role as a protector of world. But did you know that Krishna didn't kill the Kaliya Nag. He simply told him to leave the Yamuna river and this also symbolises purification, redemption as Krishna forgives the Kaliya Nag even after causing lots of harm to people of Vrindavan. In Vrindavan you will see that the story of Kali Nag is mostly celebrated in art and in dance form and also in literature you will get to know more about the Leela. Basically show the victory of good over the evil.
The picture above you can see the life size sculpture of Radha Krishna along with Gopi and it represent one of the most amazing beautiful and celebrated scene from Indian mythology and the Leela is known as Ras Leela. A deep born between the Krishna, Gopis and Radha Rani.
