in Worldmappin3 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone! How is everyone today? Hope everyone is fine and good luck in the new week. Coming to Da Nang, everyone must think of Son Tra peninsula, visiting Son Tra peninsula surely, no one should ignore the place known as the roof of Da Nang city. This is a place that evokes a bit of nostalgia during modern city life, here you will be immersed in nature. Son Tra peninsula is the pearl of Da Nang, this place is favoured by nature with many beautiful natural landscapes, many romantic beaches. Especially on the top of Son Tra mountain, there is a mysterious chessboard, which is the highest point of the Son Tra peninsula. To get to Ban Co Peak, you will have to move to the Son Tra peninsula. The top of the Chess Board has located about 20 km from the centre of Da Nang city to the west. Ban Co Peak is a famous tourist destination of Da Nang city. This place attracts a lot of young people from near and far. Not only impressed by the sincerity, simplicity, and rusticity of the local culture but also the historical legends surrounding this place, also aroused the interest of many people. The reason this place has such a name is that on the top of the mountain there is a legend, two fairies came down from the sky to play chess at the top of this mountain, there was a difficult move on the chessboard that day. There was a fairy who turned to heaven. And today, on the top of the mountain, there is a statue of a fairy sitting contemplatively playing a game of chess. Only on the chessboard did people find the solution. And from then on, this mountain will be called the top of Ban Co to this day.

Ban Co Peak is located on the top of the famous Son Tra peninsula of Da Nang, about 20 km west of Da Nang city centre, in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district. Do you know how high the top of the Chess Board is? Ban Co Peak is Not as high as Fansipan peak, only about 700m above sea level, but this place is still considered the highest place of Da Nang city. Due to its beautiful location, this place quickly becomes a favourite place of tourists when visiting Da Nang city. This place is great to see the whole of Da Nang and is also the place to watch the most beautiful sunset and sunrise in the coastal city of Da Nang. This peak of Son Tra attracts not only Vietnamese tourists but also foreign tourists. So what is the top of the English nameplate? The answer is Ban Co Peak or many foreigners still call this place Ban Co Peak with the statue of De Thich. Currently, to get to the top of the chessboard, you will circulate traffic with many different vehicles. Be it by Taxi and Bus, or even self-driving motorbike. One small thing to note is that when coming here by motorbike, you can only use motorbikes with automatic transmission. Because the road to the top of Ban Co is quite steep, on the top of Son Tra mountain many years ago, there have been many traffic accidents. Motorcycles with automatic transmissions when travelling on this road often encounter problems with brake failure, so Da Nang city has now banned this vehicle from going to Son Tra Island. At the foothills of the Son Tra peninsula, there will be guard stations to control vehicles, allowing traffic to the top of the mountain. There are many foreign tourists when coming here often use motorbikes with automatic transmission, and this vehicle is not allowed to move further up the mountain. But don't worry, at the guard stations, there will be bus routes running at fixed times every day. You will be able to visit all the attractions of Son Tra peninsula by bus, if you do not know the way, the bus is the most expensive option for you. If you move to the top of Ban Co, you will have two different paths to reach the roof of Da Nang city. The first option is from Thuan Phuoc bridge down Yet Kieu street, then turn into the People's Army Barracks of Naval Region 3 and finally follow the trail and continue to go up to the top of the mountain. Going this way, you will see the scenery of primaeval forests along the path. This path will not be as beautiful as the path on the second road. The second option is that you will go in the direction of Linh Ung Pagoda, this road is quite bumpy due to the steep incline and bends, but the scenery along the mountainside is quite different. This road is very beautiful. You will start from the Hoang Sa sea route, you can ask people how to go to Linh Ung pagoda on Son Tra peninsula, from there follow the Hoang Sa road and at the end of this road there will be a road on the left-hand side. , to lead you to the top of the Chess Board. Depending on your preferences and physical condition, you can move in different directions to reach the top of the mountain. If you want to explore and experience the whole scenery along the way, I have advice for you, that you should go to the top of the Chessboard by the Yet Kieu road and down the mountain by the second route, this route will help you. bring many unforgettable memories in the journey to discover the Son Tra peninsula for you

After a distance of 10km from the foot of Son Tra mountain, through high slopes and dangerous bends, I also started to reach the top of Son Tra mountain in more than 60 minutes by motorbike. The way to the top of Ban Co is very beautiful and I stopped many places to take pictures. 100m from the top of the chessboard, there will be a fairly steep slope, up this high slope you can get a stone board with the words Ban Co peak, located on the right-hand side. I parked my motorbike at the bottom of Ban Co peak attraction, this area has a lot of monkeys. If you bring food and leave it on your motorbike, put food and water in your backpack if you don't want the monkeys to eat all your food. Next to the board showing the top of the Chessboard, there will be a set of stone steps. Going all the steps you will reach the top of Ban Co, the steps are quite steep and there will be houses for visitors to rest to continue climbing to the top. When climbing to the top of the Chess Board you will see a stone statue of an old man playing chess, the position of this chess game is very difficult, so look at the old man thinking thoughtfully. Visitors are very excited to take pictures with the fairy playing chess, the weather at the top is quite cool, sometimes misty clouds are passing by, making you feel cold. Strong sunlight will make the fog melt and you can easily see the whole scene around the top of Ban Co. Looking down from the top of the mountain, you will surely be overwhelmed by the enchanting beauty of the sea. Waves patted the mountainside and curled accordingly, blending with the green of the mountains and white clouds. The clouds are hovering around the high mountains, creating a romantic and impressive image. Zooming your eyes away from heaven and earth, you can admire the majestic image of Son Tra mountains and forests. In the distance, you will see the skyscrapers of Da Nang city and the bridges over the Han River, ships floating on the sea... Standing from the top of the mountain, you will enjoy a different view. The clouds will change continuously, creating a unique experience for visitors when standing from the top of Ban Co.

This mountain peak is considered the perfect place for you to admire the panoramic view of the red sunset in the entire sky of Da Nang. As the last light of the day fades, the city appears fragile and full of imagination. From here, you can zoom out and watch the Dragon Bridge stretch majestically, under the Han River. The strait lines wind around the city. If you stand from the top of Ban Co you can also easily see the sunrise from behind the mountain, behind the mountain there is an antenna tower the sun will rise from that direction. Leaving the unawakened city behind, wrapped in a virtual fog, if you invite your close friends to welcome the dawn on the roof of the city, it is truly an unforgettable experience. The sunrise at the top of Son Tra mountain is like a beautiful picture behind the mountain and the movement of light will make the scenery here more beautiful, for you to enjoy the exciting moments transferred during the day.

For your trip to Ban Co Peak to be complete and to have the most enjoyable time, there are a few things you need to consider before preparing for your trip. Choose light and airy clothes for ease of movement. Going to the top of Ban Co by motorbike, terrain bicycle is the favourite choice of many young people, you can rent a car in Da Nang city at a fairly reasonable price, not renting motorbikes with automatic transmission. At the top of the mountain, it is usually very sunny at midday, so have a hat, umbrella, and sunscreen ready to avoid getting a sunburn. When riding a motorbike, you should go at a low speed, with firm handlebars. Moving up and down the mountain is very dangerous because the slope of Ban Co Peak is quite vertical. You should control the time and return to the city by 5:00 pm. because the road on the peninsula in the afternoon will be very dark, it will be dangerous to go at night. The last point to note is that you Always pay attention to the weather. Limit riding on rainy days, because the road will be quite slippery and unsafe. Above are my experiences when you visit the top of Ban Co. Thank you everyone for reading my post, wish everyone a new week full of luck and happiness in life.

Thank You very much! It feels great to breathe in the fresh air, and there are beautiful beaches below the mountain. I hope you'll come here to explore the land.

Super! I love your gecko shot 😍

I observed and photographed the gecko lying beneath the cliff. It curls its tail impressively and avoids the danger in front of the camera lens.😀

you are talent for that.

You have presented so many beautiful landscapes that I have seen these beautiful landscapes, so I am very happy. I felt like I was lost in the beautiful mountains and valleys. This post is really your best and the best. And the pictures you have taken are also admirable and very beautiful۔

Thank you so much. The article's content and images are something I'd like to go over in depth during my discovery journey. I want readers to be able to immerse themselves in nature with each article, and I am grateful for your encouragement and support. Have a wonderful day.

I still remembered the morning when we got here, it was sunny but still cold. There was just us there, it was a bit foggy, so we couldn't see anything from afar. The slopes are so steep that I didn't think my rented bike could make it haha.

You are real export when going to come here, at the following the curves and slopes are quite dangerous and foggy. But The road to here is too beautiful to be worthy of your strength. Will you come back here more again?

Da Nang yes, but maybe not this peak haha

great post beautiful

I've always loved watching the cities from the distance during the night! I absolutely find fascinating this kind of view! But a more beautiful thing is to have nature so close to the urban places. Really great place to visit for a complete experience! :)

This is a peninsula in Da Nang city that will be very convenient to come here. My friends and I often come here on weekends to camp. It will be one of those great memories. Thank you for liking the article and for the comment.
