Central Highlands - Where all the year round is covered by the green of the mountains

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hello everyone! Wishing everyone a good start of the week and good luck in life. As everyone knows, the Central Highlands of Vietnam is an area with plateau topography. Previously, I had written my travel articles in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, such as Kon-Tum, Gia Lai, and Mang Den town. In today's article, I will continue to write about the new lands of the Central Highlands. That is the city of Dak-Lak province and Dak-Nong province, Bao Loc city. I will write down each location in my post today.

Tay Nguyen tourism is always an attractive destination for those who want to explore backpacking. Weather and climate in the Central Highlands, always a favorite reason for travel enthusiasts. The Central Highlands is the land of South Central Vietnam, the climate is sub-equatorial. So this place is divided into 2 distinct seasons in the year, that is the rainy season and the dry season. The dry season usually lasts from November to April. The rainy season will fall from May to October. The climate of the highlands is always cool all year round, with an average temperature. The average year is about 20 degrees Celsius. The right time to explore the Central Highlands is from December to March, this is the time when flowers in the Central Highlands will bloom. Let's explore the Central Highlands with me in today's article.

The first province that I want to introduce in today's article is Dak-Nong Province. This is a province with the lowest population density of Vietnam, the land here is located in the south of the Central Highlands. This place has a lot of potential for tourism development and rich nature. The climate is cool all year round, the people here are also very gentle and hospitable. It is the above factors that have made the land here become a land with great potential for tourism development. It can be said that Dak-Nong is one of the paradises of waterfalls. The famous tourist attractions here are Ta-Dung Lake, Dak-Gun Waterfall, Luu Ly Waterfall.

Hip_hoofdacky_daknong.jpg

Hip_hotadung.jpg
The first place I want to introduce in Dak Nong province is Ta Dung lake. This place is known as Ha Long Bay, the small capital of the Central Highlands. Ta Dung Lake has located 48km from the center of Dak-Nong province, in Dak-Som commune, Dak G'Long district, Dak-Nong province. This is one of the ideal tourist destinations, for those who love to explore nature. The area of the lake is quite large, nearly 500ha with more than 40 large and small islands. Ta Dung lake was formed by the hydroelectric power of Dac-P'lao commune, due to the blocking of flow, Ta-Dung lake became extremely large. Ta Dung Lake is also located in a nature reserve area, so many rare bird species are living here. At Ta Dung Lake, there is a high place called Top View Homestay, standing here you can observe the whole scene of Ta Dung lake. You can also camp here, or rest in the rooms in this homestay. The most beautiful time of Ta Dung lake is from August to December because this is the time when the lake stores the most water from the hydroelectric dam. We can also take a boat trip to visit the small islands on Ta-Dung Lake, I have also experienced and enjoyed going to the heart of Ta Dung Lake. Here are some pictures that I took during my trip in 2020, there are also many places in the lake area where the water level is low to reveal the dry branches under the very beautiful lake.

The second site of Dak-Nong province is a very famous waterfall here. This waterfall is called Dak G'lun Waterfall. The waterfall is located about 50km from the center of Gia Nghia town, to get here you will go through difficult roads. But it is these difficult roads that have a lot of beautiful scenery on this road. Both sides of the road to Dak-G'lun waterfall are planted with many rows of rubber trees and large fields of coffee. Dak-G'lun Waterfall is located in Quang Tam Commune, Tuy Duc District, Dak-Nong Province. Dak-G'lun waterfall system has very green vegetation, the waterfall here flows from a height of 60m. You will be overwhelmed with the natural scenery here. I like this waterfall, this can be said to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever been to. Take a look at the photos I took here.

Hip_thacdakgun_2.jpg
The third place in Dak-Nong province is Luu Ly waterfall, the name of this waterfall is really good and meaningful. Luu Ly Waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls or tourists in Dak-Nong province. The waterfall is located in Nam-N'Jang commune, Dak-Song district, this is an ideal place for tourists to explore the Central Highlands. The lazy waterfall originates from the high mountains of Nam Nung. The waterfall is flowing many layers of beautiful waterfalls. The vegetation here is also very impressive, you will be overwhelmed by the green color of the primeval forests here. Take a look at the photos I took here.

The second province in today's article is Dak-Lak Province. This is one of the provinces with the fourth largest area in the Central Highlands. The main city of Dak-Lak province is Buon Ma Thuot city. This place is known as the center of the Central Highlands. You will meet elephants in the village. Dak-Lak is the land of coffee trees, where cafe trees were grown quite early in Vietnam. Soil, alluvium, climate, and altitude are the factors that make coffe here grow a lot of Vietnam. The delicious types of coffee must include Robusta, Espresso, making this place considered the "cape capital". I will start writing about the famous tourist attractions of Dak-Lak province.

Hip_cautreobuondon.jpg

Hip_caykonia.jpg

Hip_daptrandakmi.jpg

The first tourist destination of Dak-Lak province that I would like to introduce is Lake Lak, this is considered the largest freshwater lake of the Central Highlands and this is also the second-largest lake in Vietnam. Ba Be lake of Bac Kan province, Vietnam. Around the Lak Lake area, it is surrounded by high mountains with a huge system of primeval forests. There are many legends about the god of fire and the god of water. In war, the winner is the god of fire. Under the rule of the fire god, the people of M'Nong mistakenly suffered from hunger and lack of water. Then the son of the Fire God found a lake and moved the Mnong people to live here. Although it is just a legend, you will be overwhelmed with the sunrise and sunset here. Lak Lake is also connected to the Krong-Ana River, which is the main source of water for Lak Lake, let's take a look at the beautiful photos I took here.

The second tourist destination of Dak-Lak province is the system of two waterfalls Draynu and Draysap.
Dray-sap waterfall is located 26km from Buon Me Thuot city center in Dak-Sor commune, Krong-No district, Buon Me Thuot city. Dray-Sap waterfall is also known as Gia Long waterfall. The ticket price to visit the inside of the waterfall is about 40,000 VND. The scenery of this waterfall is very wild and majestic. The waterfall has a width of 250m, the height of the waterfall is only about 12m high. In the rainy season when the water flow is abundant, the Dray-Sap waterfall becomes more spectacular than ever.

Hip_draysap.jpg

Hip_draysap_02.jpg

Hip_thacgialong.jpg

Hip_thacgialong_01.jpg

Hip_thacgialong_02.jpg
Dray-Nu waterfall is located not too far from Dray-Sap waterfall, this is the waterfall located next to the Serepok river. Many people will think that the two waterfalls Draynu and Draysap are the same, but in fact, these two waterfalls are separate from each other. The seek river is divided into 2 different branches and forms these two waterfalls. The ticket price to visit Draynu waterfall is cheaper than Draysap waterfall, with the ticket price only about 30,000 Vnd. This waterfall looks very similar to the Dray-sap waterfall, but the Dray-Nu waterfall is more beautiful. Here, ancient trees cling to the rocks with a lifespan of up to hundreds of years. There are also wooden suspension bridges, so you can easily visit the streams here. In the area of Dray-nu waterfall, there are climbing activities, cycling, and special outdoor sports. It will make you feel excited when you come to this place.

In addition to the above places, I also visited many places in Dak-Lak province, I took a lot of photos at each different location. The first is an abandoned church of Dak-Lak province, if I remember correctly, this church is located in the Lak district of Dak-Lak province.

Hip_nhathocobohoang_daclac.jpg

The next place is Daklak's Elephant Mountain, which is a huge rock. There is a small path in the middle of the rock that leads visitors to this place. This rock is quite big, I don't know how it formed, but it was very impressive for me on this trip.

Hip_nuivoi_daknong.jpg

Hip_nuivoi_daknong_2.jpg

Buon Ho parish church, this church is located at 175 hung gardens, Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province, Vietnam. Close to the city center of Buon Ma Thuot is the Ko-Tam eco-tourism area. Here you will experience the daily life of the Ede people, surrounded by many fruit trees. The space here is very relaxing every time you come to this place.

In addition to famous tourist destinations, Dak-Lak Province is also a land with a long history. Here you will find many beautiful villages. Along with the poetic rivers and rivers, the people here are also hospitable. Dak-Lak has ethnic minorities Ede and Nung, this is some of the ethnic minorities of Vietnam. Looking into the eyes of the people here, you will see the beautiful eyes in their eyes. On special holidays, the people here will have special festivals, many people will light fires, and traditional folk games dating back to generations.

I have introduced two provinces of the Central Highlands. In today's post, I will continue to write about a city in the Central Highlands. This place has a lot of beautiful scenery that I would recommend. That is Bao Loc city of Lam Dong province. Located at an altitude of 1000m above sea level, the climate here is relatively mild and cool, the average temperature is from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius. It is the cool air here that makes the natural landscape here extremely special, with tea gardens and smooth green hills. There are also many majestic waterfalls here. Let's explore these places, through the photos that I took. The first place is Linh An Tu pagoda. There is a very large statue of Quan Am Buddha, it can be said that this is one of the largest Buddha statues of the Central Highlands.

Hip_Baoloc_chualinhan.jpg

Bao Loc has a famous tea hill named Tam Chau tea hill, which is one of the famous tourist attractions in Vietnam. When the climate of Tam Chau tea hill is at an average of 18 degrees, the tea leaves here have a very fragrant taste and the leaves are very green. If you've been here, you should try this tea.

Hip_Baoloc_doichetamchau.jpg

Hip_Baoloc_doichetamchau2.jpg

Bao Loc has a famous waterfall that is Dambri waterfall, located northwest of Bao Loc city. Dambri waterfall is flowing from a height of more than 60m. The vegetation of this waterfall is very green. Close to Dambri waterfall is Dasara waterfall, this waterfall has a height of 60m. Dasara Waterfall has many cascades, there are also many adventure games, and the best resort services in this place. On the way to two waterfalls, I passed a very beautiful white castle, this is one of the famous check-in places of Bao Loc city that you should visit. It can be said that Bao Loc city is one of the livable cities of the Central Highlands. This place has many poetic scenes, winding slopes, and immense mountain views that are unique things that no other place has.

Oh man, so much green! I'd absolutely love to live in such a place! So much freedom and colours for the heart!

In the Central Highlands, surrounded by forests, this place is the remnants of volcanoes. Here formed a lot of waterfalls, in the article is a small part. They are truly majestic among the mountains

Great post! The photo with the campfire was phenomenal. Looking forward to the next one.

The image of the fire is a small festival of the indigenous people, people gather together and dance to the sound of gongs. If you have a chance, come here and experience it

Damn, I wish I could.
