Demolishing the mountains and nature to build the tourist area or any kind of entertainment is so familiar to me in my country.
Normally, the investor or some people in the government would have an attempt to find out the advantage terrain with the low cost but high profit to invest. On the article today, I would like to introduce one of those destination. This pagoda is also called ong nui pagoda, located in the coastal region of Binh Dinh province. This pagoda is 30 minutes away from my grandmother’s home.
Ong nui pagoda is known as a sacred and huge temple complex with the enormous Buddha statue facing toward the beach. To complete this complex, it must be need a large area that conformity with the condition, therefore, tearing apart the mountain is an inevitability.
To get to the peak of the pagoda, one needs to climb over 600 ladders as you guy can see in the picture. Trust me! It is not easy as you think to climb the amount of steps. Fortunately, one can take a rest while climbing the steps by sitting in the chair or drinking water from some sellers at each level.
I do not know how tall the Buddha is, but seems like huge Buddha statue is an integral part of new pagodas in Viet Nam.
Because it is built from the top of mountain, one can reach to the stunning view with beautiful coast of Quy Nhon and the beach with the strong wave hitting the shores.
From the huge Buddha statue, heading to the North and go behind, one can easily see the enormous cave built from some huge rocks. I believe that this cave was for an old monk practising mediation and staying there as his dwelling. I have had a chance to climb to the rocks and the cave to scent the air and look at around. The mountain is filled totally by the trees and forest. From the top of cave, one would look at the Buddha statue clearly and freely without any barrier.
There is also a part of the pagoda that one should not miss out. Staying in the west of the cave, there is a framework that was built in details. I look at the unknown God statue sitting on the rock with a smooth gentle face. Just like he is preparing to give the good things to the boy who downs the knee before him.
That is all in the top of Ong Nui pagoda that always attracts tourists and visitors from all over my country to visit and pray for the good things in the holidays. Spiritual tourist is never unfashionable in Viet Nam.
I do not mention that Ong Nui pagoda is one of that, somehow tearing the mountain to create the artificial charm is against with the nature. By the way, Ong Nui is also an attraction destination for one who loves the spirit and historical whenever they arrive to Binh Dinh province.
One more time, much appreciated for all of my friends in hive for your visiting and supporting my articles. Have a great day!
wao. I am surprised when I see your photos. That is an amazing pagoda. But to come to the top, it looks quite high to get the top, right?
yup. you maybe have to take a rest 3 times to climb amost over 600 steps to get the top lol.

Yes so familiar that what our people do, stealing the beautiful place of nature and turn it into a tourist hotspot. Still remember my heart-breaking moment when I heard about the project they built in Fansipan, it is just not the same anymore. Anyway this pagoda looks quite new, was it built recently?
This pagoda was built more than 3 years as i remembers. Now they destroy all the neighbor area just for attracting tourist and get more profit.
