The magic and flavour of the Christmas Market in Krakow, Poland
Hello everyone
A few hours ago we returned from Poland where this year during the winter season we chose to visit and experience the Polish atmosphere during the holidays.
We visited Poland a few years ago but then we chose to visit only a few well-known sights, this year we wanted it to be something else.
I know in Europe there are many famous markets that open their doors during the holidays, but honestly we visited many of them and I can say that this year we wanted something different, we didn't want so crowded.
So together with our friends we set up a holiday plan for a few days in Poland.
In Poland we came by car, the distance was not so long and we had the advantage of being able to stop where we wanted, if we saw something interesting we stopped without being tied to a flight schedule.
As I wrote above we have visited many sights around Poland but today I chose to share with you the beautiful experience I had visiting the Christmas fair in Krakow, this one stayed in my mind and now if the image of it is fresh in my mind I share it with you.
When I started looking for information about this place I didn't find much information, all I found was about the most famous drags in Europe but nothing about Krakow, so I didn't have many expectations, but I experienced something new and it was really worth it.
Having the accommodation very close to the centre (in a future post I will show you the accommodation) we didn't have to use public transport, so we took a walk through the vibrant streets of Krakow.
At first sight it seems that here in Krakow there are many beautiful places so let's explore them together.
We were lucky that it was very nice here during the day and it wasn't that cold I think it was around -2 degrees but thanks to the sunshine we didn't feel the cold but the weather was perfect for walking.
Another way to visit the centre is by carriage.
The Christmas Market is located in the main square (the old centre) a place that attracted me from the first sight, we were lucky that our friends were well informed about the sights here otherwise I think I was mesmerized by the beauty of the place and it was possible to miss many of them.
The Christmas Market is not very with very many boxes as we are used to other fairs in Eurpoa, but here there were less but amazing.
Let's see what these people are selling here.
Being in Poland our desire was to try traditional products, yes we found many of them here at the fair.
The first traditional dish was Pierogi, a very tasty dish, it is a dumpling with different fillings.
Another culinary wonder were the slices of bread spread with that butter and pork belly over which they added caramelized onions, chunks of pork and pickled cucumbers, an explosion of flavors on the palate.
Wishing to experience the atmosphere in this fair we visited it both day and night to see how everything gets a different image being illuminated by the celebration.
My dear first contact with the Polish atmosphere has come to an end.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.

So many sellers! I have always wanted to go to Krakow for the Christmas market, but haven't managed it yet. It's a pity you didn't join us at hivebeecon a few months ago 😊
Have a lovely day!
I really wished I could get to Krakow when that meeting took place but unfortunately my job didn't allow it and I had some unfinished business.
As for the Krakow Christmas Market, it was sensational, amazing buildings, amazing architecture, welcoming people, good food, delicious mulled wine.
And now I was lucky that I had a few more days off, I celebrated Romania's national day in Poland, so interesting, hehe.
Honestly, when you have friends by your side everything is sensational.
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Thanks so much @pinmappl.
By day and by night the city looks great. I liked the stalls where I could buy handmade things, but where my attention was left was on the food heh heh heh heh. Thanks for sharing.
That's right, the city looks sensational both day and night, and especially during the holidays everything is brightly lit and looks sensational.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
So beautiful!
"Christmas Market", that sounds fun @triplug. And with those interesting and beautiful things in addition to delicious dishes, the Christmas Market in Krakow is great place to spend time. I'm living in a tropical country, but I feel the Christmas atmosphere through your post.
