For today's blog I have chosen a very controversial topic and place, a very sensitive topic that some scientists say has something to do with aliens, yes, you read that right, something to do with aliens.

The place is one with an amazing energy charge, and it is located on the Bucegi Mountains plateau which hosts one of the most impressive natural monuments in Romania, the Sphinx.

The name was chosen because of its shape resembling the human face, the result of wind erosion over a long period of time.

However, the scientific data is contradicted by some theories that claim that the monument is evidence of a much more advanced civilization that created the Sphinx or that it was built by the Dacians as an homage to the god Zalmoxis.

Regardless of the true version, the Sphinx does indeed have certain peculiarities that differentiate it from any other formation of this type.

If you are passionate about the mountain the ascent and descent can be done on foot, but you must have mountain walking equipment and the duration of the ascent is about 2 hours, the difficulty of the route is medium.

How many times have you met someone for the first time and felt like you knew them? Or to hear a voice you seem to have heard somewhere before, or a phrase you recognise, although you don't remember where it comes from. To do, see or hear for the first time things that seem to be repeated, long known.

That's what this is all about, about incredible repetitions without logical explanation, things that happen to us that we struggle to understand, then forget, until a new experience of the same miraculous nature comes to disturb and fascinate us at the same time.

The link between the Sphinx of Bucegi and the Great Sphinx of Egypt

Because of the similarity between the Sphinx of Bucegi and the Great Sphinx of Egypt, some historians assume that the one in Egypt was inspired by the monument in Romania. In order to support this theory, they use information according to which the Egyptians would have passed through the Carpathians before settling on the current territory and on their way they could have seen the formation in the mountains that today are on the territory of Romania.

At the same time, the link between Romania and Egypt seems to be far from what we imagine. There are rumours that there is a time tunnel between the Sphinx in Bucegi and the one in Egypt, but so far no one has been able to prove this fact.

The Sphinx, the rock with the face of a man, is of enormous interest to mystery enthusiasts. An anthropomorphic megalith at an altitude of over 2,200 metres, it was named after its resemblance to the Egyptian Sphinx.

Geologists blame its formation on wind erosion, but the internet is also full of fanciful theories that the Dacians carved the megalith or that it is of extraterrestrial origin.

The Bucegi Sphinx may prove the existence of an extraterrestrial civilization

The idea behind the contradiction of the scientific data on the origin of the Sphinx came from the architect Daniel Ruzo. Ruzo claimed that the Sphinx is a proof of the existence of an extraterrestrial civilization that would have left behind several constructions including the one at the Bucegi Plateau.

Since the first claims about the connection between the Roman Sphinx and extraterrestrial civilizations, there has been much speculation about how it was formed, when it was formed and especially why it was built.

So far, not enough evidence has been provided to support this theory, but there are researchers still working to solve the puzzle.

The Dacian prayer place

The stories that are woven around the Sphinx do not only stop at time travel or the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations that would have left their mark in the Bucegi Mountains, but go further, towards divinity.

The Sphinx is said to have a sacred significance and to have originated in the time of the Dacians. The Bucegi Plateau was the meeting place of those who wanted to bring an offering to the god Zalmoxis, and everything started from the sacrifice made by Decebal when he killed his son to send him as a messenger to the gods.

When the "Energy Pyramid" around the Sphinx is formed

The legends and mysteries surrounding the Sphinx are a magnet for tourists, who come by the thousands to visit the natural monument at the top of the Bucegi Mountains.

Together with Babele, it is a place of pilgrimage at the end of November, on the 28th, when the "energy pyramid" effect occurs. Thanks to the sun's rays, a so-called pyramid is formed above the Sphinx, which is believed to emit positive energy.

I have to explain to you what "Babele" means, in my language it means old women, and this is also called so because of their old age.

Gura de Rai(Mouth of heaven), the magical place where fatigue suddenly disappears

Various theories claim that the Omu Peak area is the so-called 'Centre of the Earth', the place where the connection between Heaven and Earth is supposed to be made. Considered "Mouths of Heaven" in the Romanian tradition, such places drive away fatigue as if by magic, envelop the human body in positive energies and cure certain diseases.

The "Heaven's Mouth" would be located on the road between Omu Cottage and Peștera. A similar site has also been identified on a slope on the Bucegi plateau near the Sphinx. These places would be characterised by an atypical magnetic anomaly, an area that has beneficial effects on the human body.
