Great post! I have never been to Turkey, thanks for all the information, I will have to add to my wish list of places to visit.

Hey, great post. If I could give you one tip:

It's probably better if you edited the "NSFL" image into just a link with a warning on top, so those who want to see it can choose to do so rather than suddenly showing an image of death and destruction for everyone viewing this awesome post.

I didn't know Napoleon said this about Istanbul. I've been there and I must say, I found it impressive. Not really to be or to stay there for more days, rather than having been there (e.g. on the Bosporus the border between Europe and Asia) BUT when I read about the city and people (expats) living there anyway it draw again my attention and I think that it would be a great city to live in once one gets to know it a little better! !PIZZA !CTP
