Bao Lam Pagoda - A pagoda of peace and quiet

Hi everyone.
Welcome to my post. Today, I will introduce a place that can make your soul feel peaceful and relaxed when being in contact with nature and Buddhism. It's Bao Lam pagoda - an old pagoda in my hometown. The place is famous for its scenery decorated with many flowers. You will be really mesmerized by the scenery here. I'm sure about that.

This temple is located in Huong Vinh commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province. Behind the ancient, peaceful, and relaxing appearance is a history of ups and downs full of events of the temple. Bao Lam Pagoda was founded under the Nguyen Dynasty and has a history of hundreds of years. I don't know what dynasty it was founded in, but its antiquity still captivated me.
The area of ​​the temple is up to 5 hectares and the campus is extremely large. It took me a long time to visit and worship here. We even started worshiping while it was still light, but by the end, it was already dark.

I was told by local people and monks that due to many reasons such as war or bad weather, the pagoda was damaged quite badly in the early years of the 21st century. Although over time The pagoda has also been restored many times, currently some of the main communal houses have not been repaired, so the abbots are calling on people to contribute money and effort to repair the temple.

In the temple grounds, many trees are planted, especially a variety of beautiful flowers such as chrysanthemums, sunflowers, etc. Especially in the first days of this new year, the monks as well as the local people. They also decorate the pagoda with couplets, pictures, and especially special items of the Lunar New year. Buddha Pagoda so has a lot of statues of Shakyamuni, Quan Am Bodhisattva ... Heard that the Buddha gods here are all very sacred, if you have a wish, come here and try to pray. Those wishes will come true.

The monks here put a lot of effort into taking care of the scenery here. They say it's also a way to train yourself. Every time a guest comes to worship, everyone feels relaxed and peaceful. That is thanks in part to the efforts of the monks. At the same time, that's when they create some merit for themselves.
This temple is the pride of the locals in my hometown. It is becoming more and more known thanks to the spread of the scenery as well as the sacred. I will definitely come back here one day soon.
