Nam Giao - The place of worship during the holidays of the kings

Hi Hivers, today I will continue my series of travel journeys in the Hue ancient capital and where I would like to introduce to everyone as Nam Giao. The venue for the most important ceremonies of feudal kings.

The surrounding landscape at Nam Giao

The Nam Giao is very wide, surrounded by very high pine trees. This place is very suitable for camping sessions with the family. But you should not do so because Nam Giao is a sacred place, so you do not do noisy and polluted things here. This place is also the residence of pigeons. There are many bird nests on trees and birds flying everywhere. In the middle is a huge incense burner and an empty ground. This place is the celebration of everyone in solemn ceremonies. On the big holidays, many people come here, they bow to worship and release the birds into the sky.

Because the day I went was one of the important holidays in Hue, the Government had displayed photos of the kings to worship the worshiping ceremony at Nam Giao. The solemn images for an ancient ceremony must be full of solemn decorations, dance teams, singing and animals to worship. Visitors can imagine the sequence of a ceremony will take place through the photos I can take. When everything is ready, the king will come here. The king and his entourage will enter the center of Nam Giao to start a solemn ceremony.
