Hace unos años mientras trabajaba en Sanya en China. Tuve la oportunidad maravillosa de conocer además de sus costumbres, muchos lugares de interés cultural, históricos y religiosos. China es un país que te atrapa desde el minuto uno. Desde niña siempre lo quise conocer y gracias a dios que tuve esa hermosa experiencia por casi 4 años.
Este lugar que les quiero mostrar es de los más impresionantes que he visitado. Les cuento un poco de historia.

Sobre mi experiencia les cuento que fue maravillosa. Fui con mi hermana y una amiga. El templo es de los lugares más mágicos que visité. La atmósfera de paz y esperanza te envuelve desde que entras. No nos dejaron tomar fotos desde adentro del templo por respeto a la religión, imagino. A los 5 minutos de estar dentro empecé a llorar desconsoladamente. No sé por qué, quizás la emoción de ver tantas personas arrodilladas orando, de lo bello que estaba el lugar, los budas, quizás un poco de todo. Dentro era todo dorado, luminoso, fue increíble.

My experience was wonderful. I went with my sister and a friend. The temple is one of the most magical places I visited. The atmosphere of peace and hope surrounds you from the moment you enter. We were not allowed to take pictures from inside the temple out of respect for the religion, I guess. After 5 minutes of being inside I started to cry inconsolably. I don't know why, maybe it was the emotion of seeing so many people kneeling praying, the beauty of the place, the Buddhas, maybe a little bit of everything. Inside it was all golden, luminous, it was incredible.

Ya afuera subimos hasta los pies de Guayin. La tradición era ir dándole la vuelta por todas las caras, abrazarte uno de sus dedos y pedir, orar. A nosotras nos explicaron lo que debíamos hacer, varias veces... en chino, no entendimos nada. Pero no quisimos decepcionar al guía del lugar, pues puso mucho empeño en nosotras. Así que fuimos imitando a los demás. Y nos tomamos fotos, que ahí si se podía.

Once outside, we climbed up to the feet of Guayin. The tradition was to go around all the faces, hug one of his fingers and ask, pray. They explained to us what we had to do, several times... in Chinese, we didn't understand anything. But we did not want to disappoint the guide of the place, because he put a lot of effort in us. So we imitated the others. And we took pictures, which we could.

Ahora como curiosidad les cuento que en ese lugar se filmó en ese mismo año 2017 parte de la película Megalodón, que se estrenó en el 2018. Y en varias ocasiones es posible ver esta impresionante estatua.

Now as a curiosity I tell you that in that place was filmed in that same year 2017 part of the movie Megalodon, which was released in 2018. And on several occasions it is possible to see this impressive statue.

Otra curiosidad (personal) es que cuando se filmaba esta película, la escena donde los chinos corren con salvavidas, muy asustados y locos por salir del agua. Mi hermana y mi amiga de encontraban en el mismo lugar, en la playa, pero no sabían que se estaba filmando esa película. Ellas solo veían el corre corre de los chinos y cómo los viraban para atrás una y otra vez. Llegaron a casa haciéndome el cuento. Un año más tarde vimos el estreno de esta película y vaya sorpresa cuando nos dimos cuenta que era esa escena y como salía una y otra vez la estatua de Guayin. Mi hermana se paró de un salto y dijo YO ESTABA AHI !!!!

Another (personal) curiosity is that when this movie was being filmed, the scene where the Chinese run with life jackets, very scared and crazy to get out of the water. My sister and my friend were in the same place, on the beach, but they didn't know that this movie was being filmed. They only saw the running of the Chinese and how they were turned backwards again and again. They came home telling me the story. A year later we saw the premiere of this movie and what a surprise when we realized that it was that scene and how the statue of Guayin appeared over and over again. My sister jumped to her feet and said I WAS THERE !!!!.
