Hello Travel, my trip to Aceh Island Seaport, Ulee Lheue, Meuraxa, Banda Aceh City, Aceh, Indonesia was an experience full of beauty and meaning. Located in a beautiful coastal area, the river is also called Babah Kuala (local Aceh language). Babah Kuala offers much more than just a panorama. Curious, I embarked on this adventure to learn more about local traditions and culture.
As you can see in the photo above and a few photos below, I arrived at Boat Harbor when the weather was a little cloudy that day. The orange light shining through the gray clouds enveloped the boats lined up neatly on the shore, creating an unforgettable and fantastical atmosphere. Yet the silence seemed so real: there were no fishermen in sight, only the boats remained silent as if they no longer belonged, adding to the melancholy impression of that afternoon. There were no fishermen, only boats were seen, motionless like silent sentinels on the shore. makes a magical impression that is hard to forget
This Babah Kuala harbor is not only a place where fishermen start their journey, but also a place where visitors like me can reflect and experience a simpler life. Although quiet from the crowd, the place offers interesting views, especially the rows of boats of different colors, as if each one has its own story.
The boats we saw seemed to be parked where they were, because when I was there that afternoon, the water in Kuala was receding and so there wasn't much flowing. For anyone looking for an authentic coastal experience, this beach is a must-see destination.
The shipping port, known to locals as Baba Kuala, is a bustling place with rows of boats moored. Here, tires, trees and a tranquil pond are silent witnesses to the fishermen who stop here. This place seemed to be the starting point of their journey in the middle of the ocean, Baba Kuala is where they park their yacht before setting sail again, a temporary port in their daily lives.
Hopefully the eternity of nature and the lives of the fishermen on this ship port beach or what is called babah kuala will remain intact, making it a silent witness to a long journey full of meaning. I really appreciate your time and support in following my journey.
