HISTORICAL SITE - TRUONG AN MONUMENT IN QUANG NAM

in Worldmappin3 years ago (edited)

Hello Hiver friends,
How do you do today?
Today I had a trip to visit a place of hidden beauty where historical relics are marked. This place is called Truong An Monument. Locals refer to this location by a familiar name as the historical relic of Mount Lo victory. Truong An Memorial Temple commemorates the merits of Dai Loc's forefathers, heroes, and martyrs from the time the land was opened to the day of liberation. Follow me to learn about this place. 😉

Where is Truong An Monument?

Truong An Monument is located in Dai Phu village, Dai Nghia commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province, Vietnam. This is a quiet village where the majority of the residents work in agriculture. The location of the memorial is easy to recognize because its gate is located on the side close to the main road and below the foot of Quan Am bridge.

Because the memorial is only a few minutes away by motorcycle from my house, I decided to walk there. After about ten minutes of walking, I arrived. Today's weather is perfect for getting out and exploring. Looking up from the welcome gate, you will see a path of successive stairs.

Hidden beauty

Enter through the blue gate and look to the left, you can see a picture that was once carved from stone. Soldiers who gave their lives to protect the country are depicted on the wall. Along with the soldiers were heroic Vietnamese mothers who gave their all to care for the soldiers and treat them as if they were their children.

Images of soldiers defending the country, images of people's daily lives, and small details that create heroic victories are carved on stele over time. On the opposite side of the sculpture is a book recording the monument's milestones engraved with braille on the surface. Please click on each photo to see the details sculpted on the centerpieces. I guess you will enjoy the little details engraved on it.

Legendary book

The stone statue reminded me of a mother waiting for her husband and son to report for duty on the battlefield.

What are your thoughts on this statue?
Do you think like me, that this is a mother awaiting the return of her son from the battlefield?

Both sides of the road are surrounded by solid concrete brick fences. It gives the climb an antique appearance and provides a sense of security.

After nearly ten minutes of climbing, I arrived at the most dignified part of the memorial. A low tower more than ten meters high stands in the center of the campus, and front of it is a stone stele carried on the backs of a turtle, symbolizing majesty. Behind the tower is a memorial house, which contains numerous steles engraved with the names of fallen heroes. More than 40 beers are lined up side by side.

Relax and get to know more about history at the same time.
