yeah, dear, I know what you mean about Caleb and your care about his new life with the baby...
Very often Moms "forget" about the first kid when the newborn comes. I had a friend who was one of them.. She was craxy about her son, she filled him with crazy love, but then she got pregnant...at first she hated the baby inside because she didn't plan it, but when the newborn appeared something changed inside of her soul and heart. And the changes were SO huge that the world turned upside down. Then she filled with crazy love that newborn girl and forgot about her first son...;( I was so sorry about him! It was painful for me to see him lost because he didn't understand why his Mom didn't love him any more... We stopped communication with her, so I don't know how the situation changed, but I'll remember this example forever...
I'm sure it will not touch you and Caleb, just a story from real life, don't take it too close to your heart. I read a good advice of psychologists about it: Moms should involve elder kids into taking care of the newborn baby, then they will feel like a part of this new life with the new kid, and they will feel they are important as well, they have a new status of "Mom's assistant" and "elder kid";)
