Let's take a look back at the time I decided to have the courage to try the things I fear.

Growing up, I wanted to do more; I wanted to do the things I thought I couldn't do. My family and I have been to numerous adventure parks. We've been to Camotes and Bohol to experience wild, exciting adventures together. Maybe my heart was still a little kid, and maybe my mind was still soft to accept the thrill; that's why I was not able to have fun with them. I remember how I stood up in the corner watching them try bungee jumping, roller coaster rides, ziplines, and other crazy extreme rides. I always get jealous and ask myself, "How are they not afraid? I'll piss in my pants if I were them," and so on.

Then as time went by, I realized that I lost a lot of opportunities to try extreme rides because I kept on telling myself I couldn't do it. But then what if I can take it? What if it will be the best choice of my life?

One night, my cousin asked me if I would go with them to Anjo World Theme Park. Without hesitation, I confidently said I would go. I prepared my things, and I even told them I would try every ride there; they laughed at me and told me they never expected I would be that brave. I felt so proud of myself; it was like I took a big step in improving myself and my mentality!

About Anjo World Theme Park:

What I loved about the place was that, besides being the biggest and the only world-class theme park in the Southern Philippines, they are also known for offering children, teenager, and family rides and an indoor Snow World attraction. Everyone can really have fun there. It is located in Minglanilla; therefore, it is less than an hour away from Cebu City, which is good, especially if you are with kids. Furthermore, they also have a restaurant and food stalls where you can eat; you can also play games you can find at the mall there, and they have souvenir shops for tourists.

Off to Anjo World Theme Park, I became so excited that I couldn't wait anymore. After we entered the premises, my eyes twinkled at every corner of the place; the place was so beautiful! I can see a lot of people taking pictures and laughing after they finished a ride. I couldn't wait anymore. We ate so fast and started our adventure at Snow World. It was so cold; thank God I brought myself pants because I am so weak when it comes to the cold. My cousins laughed at me because I brought pants with me, but I guess I have the last laugh because after we went inside, it was so cold that we had to pay for gloves and earmuffs.

It was totally a crazy experience at Snow World. I remember that when I tried the slide, there was an ice cube inside my other shoe. I tried to take it off in any way, but in the end I had to take off my shoe because my feet felt so cold. We even bought a coffee there for another experience and took a photo together for memories. You can buy the photo that was taken by the staff outside; it's quite expensive, but the picture can be kept for memories, so why not, right?

The next thing we did was ride Hiphop; it was really bouncy and fun. It's not extreme and best for kids. Next was the space shuttle; again, it's not extreme at all. After that we went to ride the tower drop, which was so good! Then ride Vikings after, I've tried Vikings before, so it was fine. The funny thing that happened after that was my cousin threw up immediately after she got out of the ride; we were so embarrassed because she threw up in the corner. We took a little break after that because she looked so pale. Then the most crazy thing we did after that was trying their most extreme ride, which is the boomerang! It was such a crazy ride for me, and I was right; it scared me, but I still had fun. I did not regret fighting my fears.

After that we really had to stop by their clinic because some of my cousins looked so pale, they rested while we went and tried the boomerang again. I can't believe I even tried going for two! I did not know I was that brave, which made me so proud of myself. We took a break for like at least a minute and proceeded to their roller coaster. It was kind of scary for me, not the ride but for my safety, because I could literally hear the steel; it felt like a final destination ride, but thank God we were safe and sound.

It was almost dark, so we went to my cousins and saw if they were okay. Thankfully, they're not as bad as they looked before, so we took them out and took pictures. The one that stood out to me was their restaurant; it looked so pretty I couldn't help but take a lot of pictures there.

I did not able to ride their 200-foot ferris wheel because I had to take care of my not so looking good cousins. I felt bad that they weren't feeling okay, so I fed them and took care of them because we had to go back to Cebu in an hour.

It was such a great experience; I did not only have fun and connect with my cousins, but I also conquered my fears! It might look easy to conquer my fear, but no, I was prepared a long time ago. I believe preparing yourself for a change is really important because you have to prepare your mind and your soul.
