Samadhi(cremation site) of Raja Mahan Singh

Today, I am taking you to a tomb(cremation site- Samadhi) of Mahan Singh. I was searching for Samadhi of Mahan Singh in Gujranwala. From distance, i could see the bulbous dome over which pointed apex was reflecting in my eyes. I was standing at a distance. I wanted to visit this place. Initially, I wasn't aware of the structure and the historical significance.

It was an urban setting, bazaar, motorcyles, and a lot of noise. I was following maps but was unable to detect the entrance. I stopped and asked a shopkeeper. He guided me where to go?

This octagonal dome with three bay entrances is deteriorating. But, i looked at dome, it was reviving with green plants around it. Renaissance-reviving itself but in a different way.

Cracks were narrating that The health of the cremation site is not good, and no one in authorities is even taking care of historical building.

From the appearance, it was evident that the inside of the building was decorated with fresco work and motifs. But, now everything is deteriorated. Time proved to be cruel to this historical landmark.

Stairs that were leading to the upper floor were haunting, too. I was scared of them. Once, i thought of going upstairs, but hundreds of thoughts striked my mind. Those thoughts start from what if.

Then i thought to step into adjacent chamber, but i stopped at the same point where i was already standing. Out of nowhere, a black dog entered the tomb. I got scared as many questions popped up in my mind. I thought - it might be a spirit, and i am alone over here. No one will come to rescue me. The situation of building was seemingly like a rotting apple. This fruit of history is facing harshness in the present time.

With some cracks, writings that are inscribed in the wall are still visible. It was an interior chamber with so much debris and rotting things.

I gathered my strength and confirmed myself not to be afraid of anything. With this spirit, I walked towards third bay entrance that was heavily destructed by nature and by many other undocumented circumstances. Certainly, no one from authorities thought and planned to take care of this particular building.
Often, when we enter a historical buildings, we feel like time stopped over here as we see everything of history is preserved but in this historical building, it was evident that time continued to show it's cruel face.

Believe me, I wanted to walk around there but a black dog inside with a full swarm little dogs didn't allow me to stay their and wander around. I just cake out of the building and started noticing details outside of the structure of building.

I walked out of the building but looked at it from a distance and from step by step. By each step, the distance was increasing, and i was taking pictures of it. I wish the government and authorities somehow, miraculously, look at the conditions of the site, and they decided to renovate the building.
