Hello, fellow hivers! How are you all doing? I hope that you are all good right now. Anyway, it’s been days since I posted my last blog. And I’m really sorry guys, I’ve been busy spending my weekdays helping my mother with our household chores and other responsibilities here in our house. That’s why I don’t have a chance to write a blog, but because I consider writing one of my passions right now, I really did my best so that the time that I allot for doing my responsibilities here in our house will be followed. In short, I managed my time in order for me to have time to write a blog and give you an update about my fantastic life. So let’s start with my new chika?
By the way guys, this blog only contains what I did last Sunday, September 20, 2024. Actually, this is always my day cycle every Sunday.
Okay, let's all start it with a good morning. My mother wakes me up early because I need to cook for our breakfast, especially since each one of us has some things to do; my mother will leave home at 7 for their singkig found, so she needs not to be late because there will be a penalty; my father also left home early for the reason that each one of us has some things to do; my mother will leave home at 7 for their singkig, so she needs not to be late because there will be a penalty; my father also left home early for the reason that he will get some foods for our goat; after drinking a coffee, he will then go; my brother will also leave our house early to gather some food for our cow, so I will always be left alone in our house. My family is a morning person; no wonder why. Actually, they need to do it as early as possible because, you know, the level of heat coming from the sun right now is very high.
As I was left alone in our house, I immediately cooked our breakfast so that I could wash the dirty clothes of my father afterwards. I was so familiar with this situation because this was always my job every Sunday.
Since we don't have a washing machine, I wash the dirty clothes with my bare hand. Yeah, it’s very tiring, but I’m used to it. After an hour of washing, finally I'm done with all the dirty clothes. I then hung it so that it would be dried by the heat of the sun. I’m done washing the clothes, so I take a bath afterwards and then eat my breakfast.
After eating, I waited for my mom to go home because, for sure, she would command me to go to the Ilihan public market to buy some of our needs, especially groceries.
I chose to walk from our house to the highway for the reason that I want to save money, but I didn't regret walking because this green scenery amazed me; it was worth the walk!
Fast-forward: I am now at Ilihan Public Market. Since it was Sunday, it was expected that there were plenty of people coming from different places here in Tabogon to buy their basic needs, just like me here in Ilihan. As I get down on the tricycle, I then get the small piece of paper that my mother gave me; it contains the list of groceries that I need to buy.
Wise Consumer?
Did you do as my mother did? Actually, we do this in order for us not to spend too much and so that we will only buy some stuff that we need the most. This is the main reason why I was the one who would go buy groceries rather than my mom, for the reason that if she’s the one who would go shopping, for sure she would spend a lot.
I then go to the meat and fish station and buy 1 kilo of fish. Sorry guys, I missed taking a photo of the place because I’m a bit shy. There are lots of shoppers, so I chose not to take a photo. The place was crowded ^_^
After buying fish, I then went to the veggie area to buy some spices like onion, garlic, ginger, coconut oil, and some vegetables on my list. I spent 250 pesos (4.44903 USD) on it.
I’m almost done buying all the things that were on the list, so I proceed on buying some groceries at the Mini Mart, like powder soap, shampoo noodles, and some canned goods.
And finally, I’m done buying all the things that were on the list, so I'm ready to go home. I don't feel any tiredness because I always enjoy strolling the Ilihan public market; actually, I consider this to be my advantage. Why? It is because I'm always updated about the price of some products right now, and I will always keep in mind not to spend on things that I don’t really need, in short, my wants. I really advise you all to be wise consumers because, as you know, it's really hard to earn money, but it is very easy to spend it. Nowadays, we need to think critically and prioritize our needs rather than our wants.

It was really interesting to read your daily life , so sorry you haven't the wash machine it's really useful, we don't have it but we use the local laundry self service that it's quite cheap, the market looks like a nice place, when we shop we pay attention too, we usually shop in a supermarket a quite cheap one luckily.
