Eat, sleep, exercise and go shopping: repeat!

"Oh, what a day," I thought to myself when I woke up again at around 5 a.m. on Saturday 6 July. I wake up at this time every day, at dawn. I usually go to 7eleven at sunrise to get an iced espresso and to wake up first. This day was no exception. Why do I always wake up sooo extremely early? Am I one of those people who work out first thing in the morning? Nope, unfortunately not... My cats skillfully wake me up with a live vocal performance in a class of its own, so that a musical "Miauw, Miiiiiiiauw, Miaaaaaauuuuuuw..." snaps me out of my daily reverie.

Well, I usually use this situation to make the best and most of my day. What's the saying?
"the early bird catches the worm"... I do feel drawn to the snowy owl, but so be it... 🙃😅

On this beautiful Saturday morning, I decided to try out a new gym and walked over to Sabaii Bai Gym. On my way there, I noticed all the graffiti and murals for the first time. To my shame, I have to admit that I had never paid attention to them before. But today they caught my eye and I was able to marvel at them.

After coming out of the gym, arranging everything with the owner and waiting for them to fix the rowing machine (yes, I need this particular piece of equipment as it is the most effective for me) I strolled down the street, still a bit haphazard as I was looking for a birthday present. A small gift for a friend. But where would I get it?

Well, I had made a plan to go to Thong Sala, at the harbor you can find all kinds of stores and certainly something nice as a small gift.

But as I was feeling a bit peckish on the way, I stopped briefly at one of those covered food markets or food halls and got myself something to eat. In addition to many exotic dishes, there are also very good, cheap and tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is something for everyone. I decided on something like stuffed dumplings with vegetables, if I have to describe it in any way. You can get something like that here for 10 to 30 baht, which is well under €1.

A quick vitamin-rich and cool fruit shake (in my case 2 strawberry shakes, I was soooo thirsty after the gym!) and my tummy and soul are happy.

With a full stomach, I was now able to move on and (thank goodness) found a party service or gift store in Thong Sala by chance, which also sells small gifts quite cheaply. As you can see in the pictures, I found what I was looking for and was able to put together a small gift for my friend, which she was delighted with and thanked me for in the end.

With a proud shopping haul, I returned home to wrap everything up and blow up the balloon, as I wanted to present the gift in the afternoon.

I hope you enjoyed my impressions.

This unique little car was catching my attention in the next moment. It's in front of a café aka restaurant. Funny it looks right?
Would you take a seat?

11.jpg

Let's go here... To the gym.

12.jpg

Some outside impressions. The gym was total full of people so I wasn't able to make any photos because of privacy of the others. Maybe next time I am able to show this location. I like it much.
