This is Cresta de Gallo

This is Cresta de Gallo 🏝️

A remote island off the coast of Sibuyan Island, Romblon Province. Its name is a Spanish phrase that literally means rooster’s comb or crest. It was named as such due to its distinct shape, resembling a rooster’s comb if seen from afar or above. It is characterized by a long, stretch of pristine sandbar with a small hill on one side, all cradled by turquoise to cerulean waters. No wonder people call it as the “most amazing sandbar in the Philippines”. Though getting here may mean a long-haul sea travel, the scene that Cresta de Gallo promises is a true reward for the journey one has to brave.

20 hour travel time from Batangas port due to strong waves and wind. This was the first RORO(Big boat) ride of our family. But over all it was an amazing trip with the family.

Next post I will be sharing another memorable experience here in the beautiful province of Romblon ♥️

Thank you for reading my story.
