RE: Reigniting My Wanderlust For Thailand

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hello @stbangkok. It's a great privilege indeed to welcome your personal experiences as a resident (Expat) of Thailand. Aside from Bangkok, I'm pretty sure you've already been to the other places mentioned in this post. Your current location of Jomtien is a gorgeous beach town. Oh, I'd also love to live by the seacoast!

Are there other uncommon Thai destinations that you'd highly suggest for newcomers?

Hey there @storiesoferne ... where do i start. So many uncommon destinations of note. Right up north there i8s Mae Sot. On the west coast the main provincial city of Prachuab Khiri Khan itself, often overlooked in favour of the usual haunts of Hua Hin and Cha Am. I also loved Koh Kood, which while an island, is the lesser known of all of them aned certainly the least visited. I also love Chantaburi province and indeed write about Namtok Phlio National Park there. It gets the most rainfall of all provinces and is also the most green and lush.

Oh, that's amazing @stbangkok! There are definitely still lots of beautiful spots in Thailand that are waiting to be discovered. I've not even heard about those places you've mentioned. See, I'm the type of traveler who seldom prefers to explore the non-touristic places of a country because I think they're where the real adventures are. Will surely take note of your interesting recommendations. Thank you so much for your time. 😊

Most welcome matey. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and reading all about it.
