InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (P2)

in Worldmappin2 years ago

In part 1, I introduced the geographical location and unique architectural features exclusive to InterContinental Da Nang. In this post, I will share my experience of visiting the exterior of Intercontinental Da Nang by tram.

Each room area here is not adjacent to each other, but connected by roads with lots of trees, so traveling by tram is very popular here, the free tram system is arranged everywhere to serve the visitors when they have request. However, many visitors still choose to walk to be able to fully enjoy the natural beauty here.

And to save time and get more sightseeing opportunities, we chose the tram for the trip to visit the outside views of the resort.

Despite all the suites in the InterContinental Da Nang having a sea view, they also feature windows or additional balconies that offer views of the mountains. Every morning, when visitors wake up, they can enjoy the magnificence of the mountain range, some of which are surrounded by fogs, and hear the chirping of birds and the calls of monkeys echoing in the distance.

Based on the information I know all entire area of Da Nang InterContinental Da Nang resort is 3000 hectares which includes mountainside, beach and suites, and villas. But only 10 hectares are available for residence and accommodation purposes, the rest is completely forest.

Before starting to build this project, Bill Bensley agreed with the investor - Vingroup that he wanted to minimize the reclamation of nature for construction.

Many resorts have prioritized making large and wide walkways, convenient for visitors' travel, so they will cut down trees to serve for road construction. But in order to keep the wild beauty and characteristics of Son Tra Peninsula, Bill Bensley chose to bend the road to give way to the trees. Therefore, the wooden stairs used to move between areas are designed in irregular zigzag lines. So each stairs to have a different shape and size. This gives visitors the feeling of walking in a primeval forest rather than walking on stairs.

The resort's award-winning architecture blends seamlessly with the rugged landscape, and it's hard not to feel a sense of tranquility and peace as you roam the well-manicured grounds.

Bill Bensley's endeavor to preserve the unspoiled nature of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is truly admirable. Bensley has been steadfast in his commitment to minimizing the resort's impact on the environment and implementing sustainable practices. He often emphasizes his belief that luxury must coexist with nature, and his projects reflect this philosophy.

Along the way, I also caught a lot of walls built with pebbles of the same size and color, unique highlight instead of building smooth walls as usual. The use of pebbles in the architecture of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is an exemplary showcase of how this unique local material can be transformed into awe-inspiring structures. The resort's acclaimed architect, Bill Bensley, noted the beauty of cuội stones and integrated them into the design, creating a one-of-a-kind building that reflects the region's natural beauty and culture.

Monkeys are very common animals in Son Tra Peninsula, and they also appear in many places in the resort. Unfortunately, I couldn't see them back then. The handrails around the resort's campus are also attached with monkey statues with many human like shapes such as propping the chin, scratching the head, ... So when it comes to the typical animals in the Interconl, people will think of monkeys.

InterContinental Danang also includes 700 meters coastline, which is strictly managed by the resort's security system. The beach with caramel yellow sand is also an ideal place for visitors to swim, sunbathe or play sports.

Especially the beach here is also chosen by many people to hold a wedding - one of the most memorable events in their life. The beach stretches along the turquoise ocean, the sound of rushing waves, the vast forests embracing the resort, the suites and villas are layer following the forest canopy, all of which create a wonderful scene- Poetic, and beautiful. A wonderful combination of both wedding and vacationing will bring the attendees an unforgettable experience.

The exterior of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is simply breathtaking. The resort is nestled in a stunning location overlooking the ocean and nestled amidst the lush greenery of the surrounding hills. As soon as I stepped onto the property, I was immediately in awe of the attention to detail and the natural beauty that surrounded me.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is an extraordinary place that left me completely awestruck. From the moment I arrived at the resort and caught sight of the stunning architecture, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience. The resort's design, with its contemporary Vietnamese style, is a perfect blend of luxury and sophistication. The attention to detail is apparent in every facet of the resort, from the artwork and lighting to the impeccable service from the staff. Each of the rooms, suites, and villas is elegantly designed and offers a breathtaking view of the ocean.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has become a model for eco-friendly luxury resorts around the world. Thanks to Bill Bensley's creative mind and environmental consciousness, the resort stands out as a stunning example of how modern architecture and design can coexist harmoniously with nature.

Overall, the exterior of InterContinental Danang is a testament to the resort's dedication to creating an environment that harmoniously merges luxury with nature. The surroundings are stunning, and the resort's design complements it perfectly. This resort is perfect for anyone looking for a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and I can't recommend it enough.

Wishing everyone a delightful read!

It's so cool to travel around Intercontinental by tram. I don't that it's so big like that.Hey @sophronia

@dodovietnam That's only a few short routes, it takes more time to explore all the exterior there.
