MACHALET FALLS is located in Brgy. Biyoy Kasibu Nueva Vizcaya. The travel time from the main road going to the falls will take 1 hour and 30 minutes. The road is not yet been cemented so I advise if you will go there, you must take a 4x4 truck or any off-road car because of its rocky roads and land bumps. At the parking area you will need to take 10 to 15 minutes' walk going to the registration area. Here you can also hire a life jacket for security while swimming at the falls.
Going here at Machalet Falls give me strong fear because many time it's like going to slip over when we are going to a bumpy area. But rest assure that the driver knows what he is doing in the situation and not cause any accident while traveling the rough road. Even having a rough time and road going to the place, it is worth going to because at the end you can experience a forested and cool breeze of the water dropping from the falls. But be careful because of the rock at the falls are mossy and can cause you to slip down.
Here we are done for the registration and paying the 40 pesos entrance fee per head, and we also hire a life jacket to make sure we are safe will swimming at the falls. before we go up to the falls, we have some group picture to commemorate that we went to this place. Even before we arrive, we experience nervousness and fear but at the end there is a smile in every face of us because we arrive safe and sound. If you ask me if there is a change that I will go back here, I will say "YES" because once you are now familiar to the terrain of the area you will feel at ease.
This is the different angle of the falls. This fall has 14 meters in height with 7 layers and the lagoon has a depth of 6 meters. When I go to the other side I slip. So, I Advise to be more careful in your steps going to the other side of the falls.
We are having a group picture to save our memories and build-up a tent to where we can rest and put our belongings because they have no cottages to offer. Here also its too windy cause by the water falls so we add weights to the tent not just to be blown away.
Vacation will not be completed without a self-selfie with the falls as the background. So, my friend asks me to take a picture of her with the falls. So that she will have also picture to be posted in her social media account.
I will not go home also without my own selfies with the falls. This is signified that I conquer the road going to Machalet falls and having a picture of the falls itself. My fear while going to the falls become a smile in my face at the end. I hope to return here again.
