We enjoyed a great drive from Bergen to Stavanger along the coast. We stopped about half way at the Airbnb "Alone in the Wood".
This drive took us through the countryside, over bridges, through tunnels and my favorite- the ferries!

There are not many ferries in the United States and definitely not in Arizona. When I go to New York City I like to go on the ferry to Staten Island. I have also been on one from Seattle to Friday Harbor, Washington and to Victoria, Canada. I was very excited to go on a ferry in Norway.

Wow some of them are so big!
They had multiple semi trucks on the ferry. It was surprising to me how many cars fit on it and how big some of the trucks were.
I think some people stayed in their car during the shorter rides. As tourists from places where there are no ferries... we definitely got out of our car.
There was a lot of good seating and a food area and play place.

What a great way to travel through this part of Norway... with a car!
I found this video while doing the research for this post. I wish I found it before our trip. We figured out how the ferries work. This is a really good video and you get to see Norway and hear the Norwegian accent.

I heard from somewhere that Bergen is the wettest city in the country. It rains 250days of the year. Wonder if its true...
I don't know. When we were preparing for the trip we were preparing for lots of rain. We got very little which was great to be able to see the country and take pictures like this!
As I look at the photos you have taken, I realize that there are so many places in the world that must be visited, I wonder if a lifetime is enough for this?
I agree! I don't think a lifetime is enough. There will definitely be some amazing places that will be missed. I will be grateful for all the amazing places I get to go!
Thanks for sharing your experience. Your pictures are amazing! The first picture looks like a painting. I love the ferry ride. Here in Istanbul, we have ferry services that run between different parts of the city. They're quite popular as they are fast and convenient. I'd love to try the ferries in Norway someday too.
