On Day 4 (July 22, 2021) we spent most of the day away from camp on what I am calling the
Many Lake hike. It was awesome.
The section of the Wind River Range where we were camping had some beautiful highlands and lots of lakes.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of this view from our campsite.
Planning our hikes
There is a big age difference between my oldest and youngest brothers. One uses a paper map and the other his smart phone. I would use and understand the paper map more out in the wilderness.
The group split up and Verl, Jacob and Dekland (three generations) went fishing and Jodi, Kristen, Cat, Scotty and I went to the many lakes.
At the base of our camp and the start of our hike
We stopped to see the llamas on the way to the first lake.
This is a view looking back at our camp
We had a little photo shoot in this beautiful field of yellow flowers
My awesome siblings
You think that this hill looks barren?
Here are some of the plants on this hill
Lake 1
Stream 1
This is my phone screen saver right now!
Still part of the stream
Posing
Did you ever play lava growing up? We played on these rocks.
Lake 2
This lake was so interesting as it had a white sand beach. Way up in the Wyoming mountains.
Another stream. Can you see @jarvie?
Me and close up pictures of all the flowers as I was sitting on this rock.
@jarvie fishing in the inlet
Selfie!
Lake 3
Lake 4
There were so many flowers on the hill. Jodi made a wild flower bouquet.
Water feature... wider than a stream and not a lake
Lake 5
The highlands
On the way back to camp
Playing cards and the pretty rainbow
@jarvie getting the rainbow shot. Maybe he will post his rainbow shot on Peakd someday.

.In my opinion this hill is not barren, when I see the yellowed grass it is very natural and very good for photos.
@maytom glad you could see all the life on the hill.
What a great view you had from your campbase! I wish I could wake up with such a view during my travels too.
I love the llamas! Unfortunately, the only place I'm able to see them is at the Zoo which I totally hate visiting to see all those animals in agony..
Hi @gabrielatravels This camping trip was quite amazing. Yes, the llamas were great. I am not a fan of zoos either!
The place is really beautiful, and I love the pictures, love too go camping some, after I over the fear of bear attack.
Thank you. It was very pretty and we didn't see any bears, thank goodness.
