Hello Everyone,
Ever been on a road to heaven..?
If not then today! In this post I will be sharing with you my journey to the road of the sky..
This Himalayan road leads to an ancient village Shegli which is situated at an altitude near about 2700m above the sea level.
The crazy fact about this place is that, this place feels like we have came back a month regarding the seasonal factor. As this place feels a month back to the one in which we are living. Just because of its altitude which causes slowly melting so snow and ice which causes vegetation to grow lately. Thus our experiences also changes !
This road is from the Highway which can be seen along with the river Beas in this picture. Just look at it guys... When you'll reach at the top you could nearly see the whole Kullu valley by just covering few miles for visiting this place.
This place just really feels like a gem to me. I could just sit here for hours long gazing the mountains. The lovely glaciers melting and forming in rivers. The frozen streams turning into rivers. The spring just brings a unique charm to the environment, A great feeling of joy and enthusiasm in all the living things.
The road not only showed the good scenery but had very deep curves in which one has to drive really very carefully. As it says in Hindi language " Nazar Hati Toh Durghatna Ghati" meaning care-fullness missed - accident occurred.
The clouds were just looking like cotton balls floating in the ocean of the sky. Wondering where to go and where to stay.
This whole view was just so eye pleasing. The lovely tiny road which took us to the heavenly paradise Shegli.
The was the from facing view of the road and now a deep curve will take us to the new dimension.
To a world which is happy in itself and need no commotion. No disturbance. This world is just full in itself.
This was the heavenly road over the top of Baragran hill. The air at this place felt like I was inhaling the purest air which I have never inhaled. You won’t believe guys it was so pure in itself.
The road was being caught up by the landslides and this area had the roads constructed for the first time in the back few years.
The clouds were just over our heads and I was a feeling of joy and happiness to be so close to the sky.
Few ranges of the mountains seems like they were below and and we were over them.
Ever seen this vehicle..?
This is a Gypsy. A 4X4 vehicle of around 2000's era. This vehicle is so powerful and common the this Kullu valley region because of its simplicity and light weight. This vehicle can also be derived over the feets of snow and thats the reason why it is called "Pahadi Bakri" which means the Ibex of the mountain.
Many pickup jeeps were also parked by the side of the road. Because these mountainous regions lack in parking.
A dense pine forest was seen in front of us. According to the locals this forest is a home to many wildlife species of this place such as Snow leopard, Himalayan bear etc.
The ancient Himalayan Devdar trees were looking like so huge standing strait in from of us. These tress live more than 500 years.
Few of the newly grown trees were also seen by the side of the road.
This was the Jungle. Through which a narrow road took its pathway to the heavenly village Shegli.
I have decided to share this post in two parts guys as this was the first part and the second part of this post well be posted really soon.
The other part of the post will include a little day hike over this place and share the beauty of this place with you guys.
So that’s all for today guys, I hope you liked my post. 🙏
