Hello, dear friends,

Welcome to the second part of my trip to London! Like many women, I’m a shopping enthusiast, and I think London is truly the perfect place for this activity that drives us crazy. I love it because there are so many stores, and I ended up spending almost an entire day exploring all these places.

I visited the Holborn area, which I had never been to before. It’s said to be home to Charles Dickens' last residence, but it seems that the most characteristic aspect of this neighborhood, if I’m not mistaken, are the historic taverns. These establishments were significant in the past and remain so today. I also discovered that the name of this area likely comes from the River Fleet, which flowed nearby until not so long ago.

I’m always impressed by the architecture of these buildings, which are truly beautiful and unique in the world. As you can see in the photos, there are so many tourists here—much more than I expected for this time of year, given that it’s not yet Christmas.

I also made my way to the Soho area, which is filled with shops as well. I must say that when it comes to shopping, London hasn’t changed at all—it’s still incredibly vibrant, even compared to some Italian cities.

I was also so happy to rediscover London’s iconic red telephone boxes. I thought they had all disappeared, but it turns out a few still remain. It’s wonderful because you can still take photos with them!

But the most beautiful area, in my opinion, is Carnaby Street, where I even found some Italian shops selling traditional products like pandoro and panettone. During the Christmas season, this area is so beautifully decorated, charming, and full of life. As you can see from the photos, it’s absolutely packed with people.

I’ll wrap up my post by saying that London is always a fantastic place for shopping. Unfortunately, it can be hard on your wallet, as prices seem quite high. I suppose inflation has made its mark here too.

See you in my next post! I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos and found them interesting. Until next time!
