A quick tour to Bilaichari, Kaptai Lake. In nature's heaven

What a situation! I came back after a long time. Life was painful. I took this gap because of my exam. I also spent some time on a project. So I was a bit busy. At the end of the project, I got some money. Meanwhile, a long time passed behind the exam. An annoyance was working in the mind. So I was waiting for a tour, meanwhile my favorite elder brother Rafsan knocked to go with him to Rangamati, he has some video making work. I took the opportunity. Today I will tell you about that place.

Visit Bilaichhari in Rangamati district in a short time with little money.

You will see so much in just one day tour, which you may have never seen before. Among all the places I have visited in the country till date, this Bilaichari trip was one of the most memorable tours. Each of which was full of surprises and indescribably beautiful feelings. I promise, the two-hour journey over the clear water of Kaptai Lake will be forever memorable. Like me you will be charged.

How to go: You can go on a day tour if you want, but I would suggest staying there for one night.

In addition to Shyamoli Paribahan from Abdullahpur, you can take buses like Hanif Paribahan, NR Travels etc. going to Kaptai from Gabtali or Kalyanpur. Night coach will drop you at "JT Ghat" area by 8 am. Boats leave at a 1-minute walk from that bus stand. The first boat of the day leaves at 10 am. Boats leave every two hours from then till 4pm. The fare is only 55 rupees per person. It takes 2 hours to reach. After reaching the Bilaichari Ghat, about 10 minutes up the hill is the Bilaichari market. From there, motorbikes are also available for rent to visit the nearby attractions and waterfalls. If you go for a day tour, you can return to Kaptai by boat at 4 pm after the tour. Or if you want to stay there are hotels built by the tribals which are completely fenced. Apart from that, there are upazila postal bungalows.

Food is not too much of a worry, as there are hotels with decent quality Bengali food in that market. But I advise you to stay away from tribal restaurants :P. Because their menu includes Guisap or pork. After wandering around from the night, take the boat to Kaptai and get off at the jetty and get the bus to Dhaka from there. Or you can take a boat from Bilaichari to Rangamati city and come to Dhaka from that direction.

Expenditure:
Non AC bus to Hanif or Shyamli: 5502 = 1100 taka (round trip).
Going to Bilaichhari by boat: 552 = 110
Meals for the whole day: Plus minus 300 (there food cost is relatively less)
Other hand expenses : 500 (as desired.)

One day tour is possible only if 2000 taka per person. More people will reduce the cost and increase the fun.

Some important things:

Like the other two hill districts, Rangamati also has various military installations in close proximity. Don't forget to take pictures of those installations. And if the army or administration people question you at various check posts, don't panic and help them by giving them correct information. But they are deployed there for our security.

Hill people are peaceful. However, they do not tolerate any disorder or trying to tease the hill girls. Be very careful about this.

The environment there is very serene and tidy. We should be careful not to cause any damage to the environment. Throwing garbage everywhere, especially bottles of water or soft drinks, must be avoided.
