Would love to hear about more cultural differences and taboos! How long have you been in Jordan!?!
I’d love to get a feel for the overall vibe there. I’ve spent 11 years in Japan and 6 years in China and the difference between these two, let alone the difference with the US, and the difference in different circles here is so completely disorienting, and I mean that in the best way possible.
I have at least 2-3 completely scenes in each country that I interact with and so 🤩 😵💫 🤩

I was in Jordan for a little over 2 months, now I'm about 3/4 hours north in Syria. They have a lot of cultural similarities, AND some major differences... Mostly because Syria has been at war for 14 years, so that has left a MASSIVE impact here.
Gosh, I almost don't know where to start when describing the differences and general vibes of this region compared to the USA... I've been meaning to write a post about it, but it's a lot to collect in my brain haha! When I finally manage I'll link it to ya somewhere to answer your question cause I just don't even know how to summarize 🤣
I knew you lived in Japan, but I never knew you used to live in China! 17 years abroad?! You don't even look old enough to have been an expat for so long, goes to show that adventure keeps us young 😎

And YES! I met my guy on Hive a few months after I started blogging here and soon we were inseparable! After over a year of video chatting and 6k miles between us I finally could hop on a plane to come over here (I suppose you probably read that whole story in the post haha)
It's been a wild ride, but a beautiful one 💕
