I have long wanted to get to this attraction, but for some reason, it turned out in the winter. Yes, just when it's cold and slippery outside. However, I decided that I needed to visit the sea at least once in the winter. After all, I've seen him in all seasons, except the winter.

And what is it like to live by the sea and not visit it, if there is such an opportunity? Well, I did one more thing I wanted to do before the New Year. But today we are talking about a monument called "House of the Sun".

The author of this bronze landmark of Odessa was the Odessa sculptor Mikhail Reva. This art object has become the main entrance to the House of the Sun. Each person, coming to the door, will be able to make the most secret desires, which will certainly come true.

But I missed this point when I was near. An eerie cold wind prevented me from remembering this fact.

According to the author of "House of the Sun" Mikhail Reva, the art object he created is a door, the service life of which stretched over two centuries. In the 19th century, she decorated the main entrance in one of the residential buildings, and with honour greeted and saw off guests entering the house. To date, in the past, the wooden door has "overgrown" with bronze and has opened its sash on the Odessa embankment.

For seven months Mikhail Reva worked on a project so that Odessa would meet the sun every morning through the door wide open at dawn. Well, you will have to go there at dawn to see for yourself.

On the doorstep is the traditional inscription "Salve", which means "Greetings" in Latin. But I missed this element and did not photograph. The sculpture was installed on July 11, 2017, on the Lanzheron beach. Rather, on the embankment next to him.
