This photo I requested someone to click this as the @hive post was on my mind.

Thursday on 26th October, I began my journey from Dehradun, India, to Lubumbashi, Congo. My Birthday fell on the 27th of October, which was partially on the flight and partially at a hotel in Lubumbashi.

I traveled by bus from Dehradun, the capital city of Uttrakhand, to Delhi, the capital of India. Uttrakhand is famous for its Himalayan Foothills and is one of India’s popular states for temples.

Reaching Delhi and collecting my passport, I boarded an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport. Since it was a midnight flight, I had my dinner on the plane at 3:30 am (IST), Which is typically the time I get a deep sleep. Fortunately, I was hungry and enjoyed a meal along with orange juice. and of course, I missed clicking photos of food and all.

image.pngLayover - ADDIS ABABA

I had a layover in ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, for three hours before my onward flight to Lubumbashi, Congo.

This marks my first visit to Congo, and a staff member from Malaika (one of the partner organisation) received me. On Friday Night, I stayed at the hotel, with one side overlooking a swimming pool and the other side a river, surrounded by Numerous royal Poinciana trees with vibrant flowers.

In India, we call it Gulmohar tree which is one of my favorites'.

image.pngfixed mobile with timer to click picture for this blog. I tink clicking picture become a conscious decision when we write and tell our story to the world, which might be not true for all. but most of the time I forget to click photos.

image.pngSwming, exercise and nature together in one place is not something I can enjoy every day. In our place swimming pools are closed due to winter.

I started my day with exercise and Yog near the river, followed by a swim and a delicious breakfast. Breakfast is a special time for me in hotels, as I get a variety of foods, including bread, juices, fruits, and salad.

image.pngFood is the ultimate goal :)

From today, on Saturday I will stay at Malaika School for a week, Malaika is a nonprofit organisation with a community–driven model that focuses on girls’ education. I am here to train the coaches, teachers, and leaders in purposeful play, utilising games and sports as a metaphor to deliver life skills sessions beyond the classroom. The program is set to run from Monday to Friday, and I will return to India on Sunday. I am truly excited to meet new people, explore new places, and learn about their life experiences. I will write about my experience being onfield in my next blog.

Asante (Thank you in Swahili) to stay till the end.
